During an April 2021 episode of 90 Day: The Single Life, Ed asked Liz -- a restaurant employee whom Ed had been crushing on and previously took out on a couple of dates -- to be his girlfriend.
After Ed said he and Liz "made love all night" in a hotel room, Liz agreed to be Ed's official girlfriend as long as he wouldn't rush things. Liz also acknowledged she wasn't ready to meet Ed's adult daughter Tiffany yet.
"Liz lights up my world and I'm realizing that she's whom I want to be with forever... I never thought I would find love again. I just hope I don't blow it!" Ed said on the show at the time.
On 90 Day: The Single Life's Tell-All that aired in May 2021, Ed and Liz weren't in a good place, and Liz said they had broken up.
"Ed loves to rush our relationship," Liz revealed as her explanation for the breakup.
"When we finally became a couple, the next week I was meeting his daughter and then the next week I was meeting his sister and his brother. I was thrown in multiple situations I was not prepared for."
Ed attempted to explain that he didn't want to get hurt, but then Liz countered, "I got hurt. You hurt me. You just completely left me and you promised me you wouldn't leave me. This month has been hell!"
Liz went on to claim Ed had blocked her and then traveled to Las Vegas, where he allegedly "ranted about [his] sugarbabies."
Liz confirmed she and Ed fought all the time over their different love languages. For instance, Liz said she's not very affectionate and she and Ed would often drink too much alcohol and then get into arguments.
Ed told Us Weekly in May 2021 that he "definitely" wanted to make his relationship with Liz work.

"We have a lot to work on. We talked about getting counseling, we've talked a lot about going to church. Yeah, so I'm very optimistic and I want to give this a chance and see it through," Ed shared. "I do [feel like Liz is in it as well]."
Us then reported in September 2021 that Ed and Liz were engaged, a few weeks after Ed allegedly popped the question on August 28, 2021.
On 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After's seventh season, Ed and Live said they had grown a lot and learned to overcome adversity together.
"We're no success story yet, but I definitely didn't see us being where we are today," Liz said.
Liz's friends advised her not to rush into marriage given Ed is so much older than her and the pair had broken up eight times before, but Liz wanted to follow her heart.

While Ed and Liz were convinced love would conquer all, they continued to fight.
Liz thought Ed was trying to show off when he was supposed to teach her some photography, and Ed also accused Liz of critiquing his work and being wrong in her opinions.

Ed pointed out how he and Liz can both be "headstrong" and "stubborn," which often resulted in conflict in their relationship. He also admitted their age difference was apparent at times. suggesting Liz isn't very mature.
Ed eventually found Liz crying, and he apologized for snapping at her. However, he acknowledged they were both wrong because Liz had corrected him in front of a client.
Liz said she had broken up with Ed in the past because he was so controlling, and she told the cameras, "I'm feeling dad come out in tonight's altercation, which has been a problem in the past. No one wants to screw their dad at night."
Liz said she felt like Ed didn't want to see her to succeed and he liked it when she needed him. She also felt judged and criticized.
"He will look through photos and be like, 'Oh, do you ever think about being back to that size?'" Liz revealed.
"It's kind of insulting. I don't feel pretty, and that's kind of why I started dance classes when we broke up before, because I'd see the kind of girls he was hanging out with. I would hope Ed would love me no matter what. I've loved him at his heaviest and his smallest since I've been with him. Never thought I'd feel so insecure about myself the way that I do now."
Liz said Ed wanted her to be at the weight she was at when they broke up, which Alex didn't think was healthy physically or emotionally for Liz.
Liz added how Ed didn't like her having "girl time" and constantly asked her questions about who she's with. Liz thought Ed projected his insecurities onto her and was scared to be loved and get hurt.
"When Ed has insecurities. There are some control issues that can come up, that can make me question if I can see a future with him," Liz explained in a confessional.
Ed and Liz later enjoyed a romantic date night and dinner out, and she said she really loved Ed and thought they brought out the best in each other.
And Ed appeared thankful for Liz because he said he couldn't imagine dating himself -- and probably never would. Ed noted how his heart was invested in Liz and they didn't have anything to prove to anybody.
Liz had been divorced twice, and so she was hoping Ed would be her happily ever after.

When Ed met Liz's beloved grandparents, he insisted he wasn't marrying Liz because she made him feel young. He noted how he was "really, really" in love with Liz and couldn't live without her.
Liz's grandparents wished Liz and Ed would give their relationship more time before tying the knot, but the couple ultimately gave their blessing since Liz appeared happy.
"I'm really nervous about my third marriage ending up in a divorce," Liz shared with the cameras.
"I do worry about the one day after getting married where we get into an argument because of insecurity and Ed will want to take a break. But if Ed takes a break, I'll never get back together with him again."
It then became time for Ed and Liz's big engagement party. Liz said she was excited to meet people on Ed's side whom she had never met before and she was looking forward to a great night.
Liz said her second marriage was "a joke" because they had wed in Las Vegas and she and Ed had made sacrifices for each other.
"I really feel like I have met my true love," Liz gushed in a confessional, adding how her romance with Ed was "the real deal."
While Ed's mother and daughter didn't show up to the party, Liz received her mother's approval to marry Ed, which meant the world to her and brought her to tears.
Suddenly, an onscreen graphic read that Liz got into a fight with one of her guests at the party that night and Liz had the woman removed by security. Liz called the situation "f-cked up," but she assured Ed that everything was okay.

Ed apparently watched a woman -- Liz's ex-coworker whom he claimed is a lesbian -- grab Liz's arm and have an emotional fight with her, and Ed said it looked like an "intimate" moment.

Liz complained to the cameras how her relationship was "done" because Ed thought she was going to sleep with a woman and she couldn't even stay out until past 11PM without his permission.
Liz ran across the street barefoot in a white dress and called Ed "the most pathetic piece of sh-t" she's ever known. She cried about how Ed was extremely insecure.
Ed accused Liz of being drunk and embarrassing herself, and he said they had too many unresolved issues that needed to be fixed before getting married.
Ed then called Liz on the phone, who yelled about how Ed was jealous because a woman was attracted to her. She also said Ed had asked her to lose weight, which really angered him.
"Liz, leave your ring and pack your stuff and move out. You're not ready to get married. You're not mature enough," Ed said.
"You don't f-cking know what marriage is, Ed," Liz replied.
"Until I know everything about you, Liz, we can't get married. That would be foolish and you're hiding something, and I'm going to find out about it," Ed said, adding how Liz and the woman had acted like former girlfriends.
Liz then hung up the phone and stormed away in tears.
So was this the end of Liz and Ed's relationship or is the 90 Day Fiance couple still together now?
Liz and Ed clearly aren't trying to hide what's going on between them.Liz just posted a funny video on September 7, 2022 in which she had bought Ed dissolvable shorts and asked him to go swimming with her in a pool.
"'Hey babe, can we get a cute video and some photos of us together?' love that we can be silly together #[dissolvable] @thisisbiged," Liz captioned the video.

And going back to August 15, Liz uploaded a funny video on Instagram in which she and Ed were doing a "Tortilla Challenge." The lovebirds both took a big sip of beer and tried to make each other laugh. The video ended with Ed spitting out his beer first and cracking up.
Liz added "all is fair in love and war" to her caption, and going back to August 5, she wrote a beautiful tribute to Ed.
Ed has also been vocal about his love for Liz on Instagram and has fueled speculation that the pair got married.
On September 22, Ed posted a photo of Liz kissing him, and he revealed that the pair had a date night before he went in for a shoulder surgery.
Ed also posted photos with Liz around that time from a trip they had taken to Palm Springs.
