90 Day Fiance star Ashley Martson claims Jay Smith lied about his age and said he was 26 years old when they first met, and she was already in love with him by the time she discovered he was actually only 20.

"When I met Jay -- TLC doesn't like to tell this story, but when I met Jay, he told me he was 26, and in Jamaica, they don't check IDs to drink," Ashley told John.
"So I didn't know Jay's real age until the day I filed for his visa. Which yes, then I should have said, 'He's a f-cking liar and goodbye.' But guess what? By then, I was already was in love."
After Jay came to the United States on his K-1 visa, he and Ashley tied the knot in Harrisburg, PA on May 16, 2018, before traveling to Las Vegas to celebrate their already-established union with a more traditional ceremony in Sin City.
"Like, you guys can make fun of me because of his age all you want, but I can't help who I fell in love with," Ashley explained.
"And Jay's about to be 22 years old [now]. Everyone want to blame, 'He's young, he's young, he's young.'"
Ashley admitted she's "so sick" of people blaming Jay's inappropriate behavior on his youth.
"I'm like so sick of people saying he's young. Okay, Jay's almost 22. He knew what he was getting into. He's claimed that in Jamaica, you're on your own at 12 years old, so you've lived that life way earlier than an American does," Ashley said.
"Like he know what he was getting into. So the young thing, it's kind of like yeah he was young but he signed up for it... the whole young thing is just really starting to piss me off."

Ashley filed for divorce from Jay for the second time in April, citing "adultery" on Jay's part as the reason for their split.

Jay confirmed he had cheated on Ashley at least once during Sunday night's fourth-season episode of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?, which featured the barbers at a barber shop he Jay had been performing tattoos at informing Ashley that Jay had sex with one of his female customers in the bathroom.
Ashley therefore wants Jay to be deported back to Jamaica and said during the Instagram Live sessions he will be deported in August because he has been living and working in the United States illegally.
"The thing that's really frustrating is he's here illegally now... I did file for his adjustment of status, and then two weeks later he screwed up again, so I withdrew it," Ashley told John.
"He will be deported on August 7 unless he runs, which is what I'm assuming he's probably [planning]," Ashley said.
Ashley claimed Jay is so desperate to remain in America that he offered to pay her to withdraw her latest divorce filing and re-file his adjustment of status paperwork.

"It's not 'if.' He 'is' going to get deported, and he knows he is. And he even called me. He went to the attorney and he said like, 'I'm f-cked.' Like he even offered money -- like, 'Can I pay you to withdraw the divorce?'" Ashley claimed.

"[Immigration and Customs Enforcement] has already been here to arrest him. They know where he works... I mean obviously if they come to my house at this point, I'm gonna tell them where he's at. So I'm not sure why he's still sticking around because we got a letter three weeks ago saying he has an active warrant for his arrest," Ashley explained.
"I didn't know this, but your local police department can not arrest somebody for being an illegal immigrant. ICE has to arrest him. They have to come from Philadelphia and arrest him."
Ashley first filed for divorce on January 11 after finding out Jay had been flirting with women on Tinder in December 2018, but she ultimately withdrew the paperwork just 11 days later on January 22.
Fans suspect the fact Jay had stayed by Ashley's side during her hospitalization for Lupus complications at the time led to her decision to stop the divorce.
Although Jay's name has been dragged through the mud, Ashley admitted to John she hasn't been totally innocent when it comes to the demise of her marriage.

But Ashley insisted she truly loved Jay and age was just a number when the couple was together.
"You know, everyone wants to criticize you until they're in it themselves, and honestly at 33 years old I can honestly say to you I've been in other relationships, I have two children, and I truly felt when I was in those relationships that I was in love," Ashley said.
"And I can tell you right now, that I was not in love. Because I never felt the way that I feel right now."
