90 Day Fiance star David Toborowsky has opened up about his 70-pound weight loss journey and why he chose to make such a transformation.

"I can see my toes again. It's been kind of exciting," David, 54, told Us Weekly ahead of the Season 2 premiere of David & Annie: After the 90 Days airing Monday, December 12 at 10PM ET/PT on TLC.

David admitted he still has "a long way to go" because he loves to eat and enjoys "trying different types of foods," but he and his wife Annie Suwan have noticed a big difference, both in his physical appearance and the life changes he's made.

For instance, Annie said David has attempted to stop his habit of snacking in the early morning hours.

"When I sleep, you sneak into the [kitchen] and you'll hide some food in every corner [to snack on]," Annie joked.

And Annie is apparently helping David and supporting him on this health journey.

"I normally get up, [and] I walk [through the park] once and then she'll get up and then we'll walk in afternoon together," David said. "I lost a lot of weight when I went to Thailand the first time in 2013 and I said, 'I can do it again.'"

David noted how walking is a "critical" part of staying fit and he's also eating more salads, vitamins and "natural" foods.

David said he'd like to live a healthier lifestyle so that he can live as long as possible with Annie, who is more than two decades younger in age.

"I do want to be healthier and I want be around a lot longer for Annie," David sweetly explained to the magazine.

He went on to joke, "So, if I can live to be [120], she could die at 96 [and we] will go the same time."

Annie shared how she is not focused on herself anymore and on what David can do for her. While grand gestures used to go a long way with her, she suggested it's the little things that count now.

"It's just like, 'How much can we enjoy the moment?'... [When] we are cooking together, dancing... many, many more [moments] together. I think that's a romantic moment," Annie said.

David gushed about how they have "date night every night," and Annie said they try to stay positive and have fun given "life is not easy."

"Life is not perfect, [often] being too up and down," Annie explained.

"But, you know, at the end of the day, I appreciate everybody who [has been] on my side no matter what I want to do, what I want to be and accept that the un-perfect part of myself and be my friend [or] my family and my husband."

David was a 48-year-old from Louisville, KY, and Annie was a 24-year-old from Bueng Kan, Thailand when she arrived in America on a K-1 visa.

After originally appearing on Season 5 of 90 Day Fiance, David and Annie -- who met in a bar in Thailand -- also returned for Season 3 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?.

David struggled financially, especially when it came to impressing and receiving approval from Annie's parents. And despite allegations against David of substance abuse and infidelity, Annie still married him.

In 2019, David was working a part-time job teaching English as a Second Language classes to adults in the Lexington area, but the couple was still living in an apartment above a storage facility owned by David's friend Chris that Annie hated.

Once Annie received her travel and work permits after waiting over five months for her paperwork to be processed, she and David moved out of their apartment and began traveling the country and staying with family and friends.

In August 2019, the couple -- who have also continued to make appearances on TLC's 90 Day Fiance: Pillow Talk commentary show -- announced they had decided to settle in Arizona and were living in an apartment in Scottsdale.

At the time, David was making money by teaching online classes.

During a September 2020 episode of 90 Day Fiance: Pillow Talk, David and Annie were shown celebrating their move to a new home in Fountain Hills, AZ.

Earlier this year, David and Annie co-starred in their first season of David & Annie: After the 90 Days. The series showed the couple returning to Thailand to attempt to bring Annie's teenage brother Jordan and cousin Amber to America.

TLC announced it had renewed David & Annie: After the 90 Days for a second season back in May.
