90 Day Fiance star Kalani Faagata is standing up for co-star Ashley Martson, who is apparently receiving a lot of hate during a difficult time.

"Can everyone please just give Ashley a break? I've lied to protect my family, too, not knowing the damage it'd do to other family members," Kalani wrote on Instagram.

"Until you are on a TV show and know how things work, you cannot unequivocally say what is expected of us. We do what we think is best at the time, and sometimes it blows up in our faces."

The wife and mother then revealed, "I know what's going on with Ashley and it's heartbreaking. Please remember that you've watched her for a few hours on TV, but you do not know her nor do you knew her relationship."

It's unclear exactly what "heartbreaking" situation Kalani was referring to in her post, but Ashley recently suggested she and husband Jay Smith have split and she may file for divorce again.

Rumors have also recently circulated on social media claiming Jay cheated on Ashley and got another girl pregnant; however, nothing has been confirmed by the sixth-season 90 Day Fiance couple.

"She's an excellent mother. She's a selfless wife who has thrown herself under the bus multiple times to protect her relationship. She's a human being with feelings," Kalani continued on Instagram.

"Please think before you type. Being kind is simple and makes everyone feel nice, especially when someone is down. Writing evil comments for internet likes makes you a magnet for bad karma, and just a flat out assh-le."

Kalani then addressed Ashley personally and concluded in her post, "You're finally on the right track and everything will start falling into place now. Stay strong, you've overcome worse sh-t than this, you'll conquer this too. Love you, girl!"

90 Day Fiance's sixth season showed Ashley and Jay's relationship hit the skids when Ashley caught Jay messaging other women on dating apps only a couple of days after their wedding, and the season ended with Ashley unsure whether she wanted to continue the marriage.

After filing for divorce in January 2019 but then withdrawing the paperwork a couple of weeks later, the couple has seemed fine until Ashley appeared to suggest last week they've now split for good.

Ashley accused her husband of being a "disgusting cheating ass" and using her car and money to go to a stripclub on social media.

Not only did she change her bio section of Instagram to "Single AF," but Ashley also did not deny the breakup when a fan asked about her current relationship status.

Ashley has recently expressed on more than one occasion how her marriage is over and she hopes Jay will be deported back to his native country of Jamaica. And she might just get her way.

According to screenshots of arrest warrant and removal proceedings documents blogger Johnny Yates posted Sunday night on Instagram that are dated February 4, Jay has been ordered to appear in court on May 8 for a hearing that may result in his deportation.

The documents state Jay arrived in the United States on a K-1 visa that only allowed him to stay in America until June 3, 2018 and he has been living in the U.S. without any legal authorization since then.

As a result, Jay is "removable" and the Department of Homeland Security has initiated removal proceedings against him.

Given Ashley and Jay did end up getting married after he arrived in America, the documents seem to indicate Ashley never filed the additional "adjustment of status" paperwork that would have allowed Jay to remain in the United States legally following their wedding.

A source also told In Touch Weekly that Ashley is "indeed filing for divorce after catching Jay cheating yet again. She has reached her breaking point and this is the final straw."

Ashley and Jay will be appearing on Season 4 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? when it premieres Sunday, April 28 at 8PM ET/PT on TLC.

Meanwhile, Kalani is happily married to her husband Asuelu Pula and they have one son together, Oliver, as well as another baby boy on the way.
