After posting a selfie on May 20, Karine stayed off Instagram and didn't share anything with her followers -- until earlier this week, when she suddenly shared an inspirational quote and posted a selfie on her Instagram Story.
Paul did not make an appearance in Karine's return to social media, but based on the Kentucky native's own Instagram account, it seems the couple is still together and going strong. Paul also appears to be in Brazil with his wife.
Fans have no idea why Karine disappeared from social media for so long, but she is reliving a very dramatic time in her life on the second season of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days.
Not only did Karine threaten to divorce Paul only two weeks after tying the knot in Brazil, but the fighting couple found out they were expecting their first child together. Karine later discovered she had suffered a miscarriage early into her pregnancy due to abnormalities in the fetus beyond her control.
Karine had to undergo a serious surgery to remove the couple's unborn child and then found out Paul must return to the United States in order to work because they had run out of money.
It's possible Karine wasn't interested in receiving attention and comments amid such a personal time in her life.

However, rumors are also circulating Karine got pregnant again and currently has a baby on the way.
Karine and Paul have apparently been trying to avoid posting photos that show Karine's stomach, which suggests the pair is not ready to reveal to the world they are going to be parents.
Rumors of Karine's pregnancy sparked in June when Paul reportedly shared photos of Karine's baby bump but then deleted the images shortly afterward.

Despite the photographic evidence, Paul declined to confirm or deny Karine's pregnancy during an appearance on Jenny McCarthy's Sirius XM radio show in late August.
When asked whether he is expecting a baby with Karine, Paul dodged the question by saying, "That is actually something I can't go too much into right now, but we definitely had a roller coaster event on that and the show will unravel some things. But it's been a real roller coaster in our lives."
In addition, Paul mentioned Karine experienced "a health scare" and was unable to work at the time, which supports speculation Paul is a soon-to-be father.
"I make sure she has enough money to survive or get by, rent and everything is taken care of, bills [are] taken care of," Paul explained on the radio show.

"Currently, Karine is in a physical condition where she can't really work. She can't really leave the house that much. She's getting through, everything is going to be okay... But she really needs to focus on her health... I think the biggest thing with her right now is bed rest, making [sure she gets to] her appointments, and everything will work out for the best."
90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days will air its Tell All reunion special this upcoming Sunday night on TLC.
