A&E Network has announced that it will premiere Sons of Hollywood, a new half-hour reality series that will follow the daily lives of three lifelong friends as they attempt to excel in Los Angeles' entertainment industry by day and score big in the Hollywood scene by night, on Sunday, April 1 at 10PM ET/PT.

Billed as a real-life version of HBO's Entourage comedy, Sons of Hollywood will give viewers a glimpse into the lives of two of Tinseltown's most famous offspring, Randy Spelling, son of the late television producer Aaron Spelling, and Sean Stewart, son of music legend Rod Stewart. Accompanied by their friend, rising talent manager and producer David Weintraub, the trio tries to step-out from the shadows of their parents and make their own identities. While it may seem like their pedigree and connections would lead them down a yellow-brick road, not at all that glitters is gold for these three.
"Lot of rehab. Lot of drugs. Heroin and pills. Lot of alcohol. And that's about it," the younger Stewart said of his lifestyle to The Los Angeles Times recently. "I don't care what people think of me."
The 12-episode series will begin with the three friends moving-out of their family mansions and in together for the summer, and illustrates the dynamics of their dealings with each other as well as the nuances of their relationships with their fathers. Tragedy also occurred while filming the show, as Randy learns his father has passed away.
"It's like trying to fit into Shaq O'Neal's shoes," Randy told The Times. "Never gonna happen. I mean, my dad's in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most prolific producer in history."
