The ending to Jason Mesnick's The Bachelor season is apparently so momentous that it's going to need a second hour to do it proper service.

The network is keeping mum about what the Monday night The Bachelor: After the Final Rose broadcast will feature for now, but according to The Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss, the additional Tuesday night broadcast was added because of the season's "shocking" ending.
"It's going to be shocking," Fleiss told The Hollywood Reporter. "The end of this series is the best we've every had."
"It’s the most dramatic anything ever," Fleiss added to TV Week. "It's a shocking finish to the show. Just when you think the show is going to end, it doesn't."

Fleiss didn't provide any additional details about what could make the season's ending so shocking and dramatic given the season's promos have already shown Mesnick proposing at the conclusion of last fall's taping of his The Bachelor edition and both ABC and Mesnick have repeatedly stated that he proposed and got engaged (and not to DeAnna Pappas, apparently). But he did suggest that Mesnick is still currently engaged to someone.
"Maybe we'll do a wedding special," Fleiss told The Reporter. "The couple seems pretty happy."
