Secret Millionaire has reportedly found a new network home.

ABC has ordered six episodes of the reality series that made its stateside debut on Fox last December, Daily Variety reported Thursday.

The Secret Millionaire -- which premiered on the U.K.'s Channel 4 in 2006 -- served as the basis for Secret Millionaire, which followed several millionaires as they left their lavish lifestyles to learn what it's like to survive in impoverished neighborhoods.

While Secret Millionaire's Fox premiere averaged more than 10 million viewers, the network decided against renewing it before a July deadline -- which led its RDF USA production company to shop it elsewhere, according to Variety.

"Even though we had a bunch of places calling about it, we preemptively went to ABC," executive producer Chris Coelen told Variety.  "It's a great format and has great longevity in the U.K.."

ABC presumably viewed Secret Millionaire as a good companion show for feel-good reality series Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.  In addition, ABC is also already home to RDF USA's Wife Swap reality series, which will return as midseason programming.

Production on new Secret Millionaire episodes will begin later this year and it is expected to have a mideseason launch, according to Variety.
