Dancing with the Stars judges Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba presumably like the new name of their upcoming ABC dance-themed reality competition show.

Tonioli and Inaba will serve as coaches and choreographers for Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann (hence the title change) and following an initial round of auditions, each will choose contestants who can both dance and sing to join their respective teams -- "Team Bruno" and "Team Carrie Ann."
The two Dancing with the Stars judges will then teach their respective teams new routines from numerous dance styles. Once the teams start performing, home viewers will have the opportunity to vote whether Tonioli or Inaba's Dance War team did better each week. The losing coach will then have to eliminate a member of his or her troupe based on viewer votes.
ABC has ordered six episodes of Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann, and instead of airing weekly performance and results shows, the series will -- similar to how ABC handled Dancing with the Stars' first season -- broadcast voting results at the beginning of each week's episode.
The show will most likely air this winter, filling ABC's broadcast void between Dancing with the Stars Fall 2007 fifth edition and Spring 2008 sixth edition.
Lachey, who captured Dancing with the Stars' second-season mirror ball trophy with professional partner Cheryl Burke, is the second former boy-band member who competed on the Emmy-nominated reality competition series to find himself with a hosting gig. Dancing with the Stars' fourth-season runner-up and ex-N Sync member Joey Fatone currently hosts NBC's The Singing Bee karaoke-style game show.
