Consider Julianne Hough among those who initially thought her Dancing with the Stars sixth-season celebrity partner Adam Carolla wasn't taking the competition seriously.

"To be honest, I was one of those people [who thought Carolla didn't take it seriously enough]. But he has practiced really hard, tried really hard," said Hough during a Tuesday night Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance.
"Those judges, they just have this fixation that he's this funny guy -- which he is -- but he was trying really hard."
Despite his best effort, Carolla and Hough became the fourth couple eliminated from Dancing with the Stars' sixth season during last night's live results show broadcast on ABC.
"We're devastated James!" joked Carolla during the Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance.
"America, a pox on you for voting [Hough] off! You know when you watch Survivor and they vote the hot chick off the island on the first episode and you're like, 'What is wrong with you people!' You voted [Hough] off!?"

Corolla and Hough performed a paso doble routine during Monday night's performance episode broadcast and the judges scored it a 19 out of 30 possible points -- the lowest judges' score of the night. However the routine was entertaining, as Carolla donned a Zorro-themed costume complete with a fake mustache and also performed part of the paso doble while riding a unicycle. He wore the mustache while on Kimmel.
"This is my new thing," he said.
Kimmel asked Hough if she enjoyed dancing with Carolla more than her fourth-season partner Apolo Anton Ohno or fifth-season partner Helio Castroneves -- both of whom she claimed the mirror ball trophy with.
"I don't like anybody better [than the other]," answered Hough. "But I have to say I do and I have enjoyed this season probably the best out of all of them."
Hough added she wasn't a big Carolla fan when the sixth season started but was "shocked" to learn he's actually a good guy.

"I am so thrilled that I got to meet him. I know it's kind of sappy, but he's such an awesome guy," she said. "I really got to see him."
Carolla also complimented Hough -- who will now have time to promote her self-titled debut album, which will drop May 20, the same day as Dancing with the Stars' live sixth-season finale broadcast.
"She's what we call a four-pole threat. That's right, four-pole," said Carolla. "She's beautiful, she can sing, she can dance, and she's hard working."
However Carolla also admitted he "ruined" Hough's clean-cut image.
"She swears like a sailor now. She's turned atheist. She's gone democrat -- she doesn't like the red states anymore. She's turned her back on [her native] Salt Lake City," said Carolla.

While Hough has other endeavors to keep her busy, Carolla joked that fans haven't seen the last of his not-so-fancy footwork.
"I've been bitten by the dance bug and I'm turning my life over to dance," he said.
