NBC has announced Adam, the frontman of Maroon 5, will return to The Voice as a coach for Season 27, which will air in Spring 2025, after a 10-season hiatus.

Adam, 45, confirmed the big news in a Wednesday, June 5 Instagram post.

In a video that Adam uploaded, he posted screenshots of about two dozen messages from fans begging NBC to bring him back to The Voice.

One of those comments came from fellow Season 1 The Voice coach Blake Shelton, with whom the rocker created the series' first "bromance." Blake retired from The Voice after Season 23 in 2022.

Adam said in the video, "Yeah, we're back!... I'm coming back. Season 27, yes, I'm coming back. I'm so excited, I cannot wait. I'm well rested. I'm ready to go. I'm a little nervous. Well, I'm not nervous, but I'm so excited."

Adam added, "It's going to be great, and I can't wait. It's going to be awesome. Let's go! I feel bad for the other teams. Let's go! Season 27 is going to be different. Yeah, I'm back and I'm really excited everybody."

Adam also addressed "The Voice fam," saying, "Here we come. Let's go!"

The Grammy Award winner wrote in the caption, "The OG is back in the building! I'M COMING BACK to #TheVoice next Spring 2025. Can't wait! V27 @nbcthevoice #TeamAdam."

Sitting next to Adam in the other big red chairs will be newbie coach, country singer Kelsea Ballerini, as well as returning coaches Michael Buble and John Legend.

Adam was one of four original coaches on The Voice's first season along with Blake, CeeLo Green, and Christina Aguilera.

Adam coached a variety of teams comprised of talented singers for 16 consecutive seasons of The Voice before leaving the show in May 2019.

Over the years, Adam had worked with some fan-favorite The Voice coaches -- including Usher, Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Hudson.

Kelsea, a Grammy Award-nominated and multi-platinum artist and songwriter, previously served as a Battle-Round advisor for Season 16 and a fill-in coach for Season 20, both instances for Kelly Clarkson's team.

Kelsea also appeared as a coach on the show's digital series, The Comeback Stage, in Season 15. At that time, she guided six artists from the Blind Auditions fighting for a spot back on the show.

"First ever coach of the comeback stage, to an advisor, to a fill in, to AN OFFICIAL COACH ON THE VOICE SPRING 2025," Kelsea boasted Wednesday on Instagram. "Welcome #TeamKelsea!"

Michael will be serving as a coach on The Voice's upcoming 26th season this fall with rapper Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani. Michael will therefore be coaching back-to-back seasons, Season 26 and Season 27.

And John, who first joined The Voice as a coach for Season 16, will return and create another "Team Legend" for his milestone tenth season next year.

Carson Daly will presumably reprise his role as host for both The Voice seasons.
