Adriana Lima has been tapped to host "American Beauty Star," an upcoming new beauty competition series coming to Lifetime.
The show from Lifetime parent company A+E Networks and Herrick Entertainment, will bring together twelve celebrity stylists and salon professionals as they compete in a number of challenges from creating editorial fashion looks to glam moments for red carpet events and runway shows.
Lima will be joined by celebrity stylist Sir John who will be mentoring the contestants along with former Vogue beauty director Sarah Brown who will be serving as a judge.
Celebrity guests and beauty industry influences will also be featured.
"We are thrilled to be in partnership with A+E on the series, as it's the perfect home for our highly engaging and entertaining beauty competition series," executive producer Norton Herrick of Herrick Entertainment said in a statement.
"Global sensation Adriana Lima will host alongside a slate of the highest-caliber names in beauty and lifestyle. The collection of talent and creativity makes the series a must-watch for beauty enthusiasts of all ages and interests," he continued.
Production on "American Beauty Star" is set to begin this June in Los Angeles.
The debut season will include ten, one-hour episodes that will conclude with one contestant winning the competition.
