Original America's Next Top Model champ Adrianne Curry feels The CW reality series' ninth-season finalists have a legitimate beef due to winner Saleisha Stowers' previous work as a model and relationship with the show's creator and lead judge, Tyra Banks.

"If I had been one of the other contestants, I would be crying foul everywhere I went. I am really surprised at how unfair that season seems," Curry recently posted on her personal MySpace blog. "So I guess now real models are going to be allowed on the show? That should make things interesting."
Stowers saw her relationship with Banks begin when she attended Banks' T-Zone camp for underprivileged girls as a 14-year-old. Stowers then participated in a Gen Art fashion show that Top Model's sixth-season cast attended as well as a subsequent runway appearance on Banks' syndicated The Tyra Banks Show talk show. In addition, Stowers also had a non-speaking role in a nationwide Wendy's commercial that aired last year.
Curry said while she didn't watch Top Model's Fall 2007 ninth season, she did happen to catch the finale.
"Is Top Model a Scam? That's what everyone has been asking me lately because of the last season," wrote the My Fair Brady co-star. "I guess the winner of the show not only has modeled before (Wendy's commercials, Tyra Banks Show runway model) but that she also had a personal relationship with Tyra from being in her T-zone camp. According to my contract with Top Model, all of these things would keep you from even coming on the show, let alone win it."

While Stowers defended her previous modeling experience and relationship with Banks during a conference call with reporters following her win, Curry said she thinks Stowers' victory "is not fair."
"When I did watch the show, I didn't think that they chose the girl who could actually model... but then I remembered that they are 9 seasons into this show and have yet to be successful in making a real 'Top Model,'" wrote Curry, a surprising comment considering she was the show's first-season champ. "I would have picked [runner-up Chantal Jones] based only on that I think she would work more. It's Tyra's show, and she can obviously do whatever she wants."
Curry concluded by saying that Stowers "title should be given to" Jones due to her relationship with Banks and previous work as a model.
"I know Tyra is an honest person. I have been assured by many that Tyra isn't unfair. Seeing how she isn't, I know she will do the right thing in this situation," wrote Curry before taking a dig at Banks. "Heck, maybe after she is done righting this wrong, she could hint at the agency she placed me in to PAY me for the work I did and won through her show? Been trying to get that check since 2003."
Curry shouldn't complain, as she appeared on the cover of Playboy's January 2008 issue - the second time she's graced the magazine's cover -- having also appeared on the front of the February 2006 issue. My Fair Brady... Maybe Baby? -- the third season of VH1's My Fair Brady reality series -- will premiere on Sunday, January 20 at 10:30PM ET/PT.
