Alex Rodriguez says his daughters often FaceTime him just to see his girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez.
The 42-year-old retired MLB star said on Monday's episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" that 12-year-old Natasha and 9-year-old Ella have been the biggest supporters of his relationship with the 47-year-old singer, actress and "World of Dance" judge.
"My daughters think their dad is a hero now, for the first time," Rodriguez told host Jimmy Kimmel. "They think they went to heaven. Now they're hanging out with Jennifer backstage, they're dancing, they're singing with her."
"We usually call at least once a day on FaceTime... now they call me three, four, five times," he said.
"It's funny because when I pick up the phone, I'm like, 'Hi Tasha, hi Ella,' and I can see them. They're like 'Hey Daddy,' and they're looking around behind me. And I'm like, 'Hi, honey, how was school?' And they're like, 'Uh, Dad, yeah it was great. Where's Jennifer?' And I say, 'Oh, no, she went to the set already, honey, she's working.' 'Oh, okay, Dad, I'll call you later.'"
Rodriguez shares Natasha and Ella with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis, while Lopez is parent to 9-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
He said the singer's kids are more impressed with his height than his baseball career.
"I think they're impressed at how big I am. I don't think they've seen anyone so tall," the former New York Yankees player said after calling Max and Emme "wonderful."
Rodriguez and Lopez were first linked in March and confirmed their relationship the same month.

The retired MLB star discussed his bond with Lopez in an interview with Entertainment Tonight in September.
"I think we're just best friends," he said. "We just love spending time together. Our kids love each other, so it's a good thing."
