Alex Woytkiw got the rose from JoJo Fletcher on Tuesday night's two-on-one date with Chad Johnson.

Alex, a 26-year-old U.S. Marine from Oceanside, CA, was thrilled to survive because not only did he really care about JoJo, but he also despised Chad and everything he stood for. Alex and Chad butted heads since the beginning of the show, and Alex called it a good vs evil showdown.

During a Wednesday interview, Alex -- who is still on the show and in the running for JoJo's heart -- discussed his battle and issues with Chad.

Below is a portion of Alex's interview. Check Reality TV World's The Bachelorette 12 page for more.

Were you nervous at all to stand up to Chad and confront him? Were you scared?

Alex Woytkiw: Oh, no. I never -- from the second I met the guy, I felt that our relationship went, you know, turned for the worst, and I never had any kind of pause in my approach with him. Like, the way I saw it is, this guy is on a TV show for himself. He's threatening everyone.

You know, look, he can punch you in the face or tell you he's going to knock out your teeth -- that's something he always did and I caught onto it from the beginning, when he threatened. And he always had the same thing to say, always telling people that they're scared of them. It was just a big bluff.

So going on the two-on-one, I was actually, I was kind of okay with it. I wasn't okay with being on a two-on-one, but going with him, it felt like, okay look, if you're going to put anyone on this date with the guy and he needs to be called out for maybe lying straight to JoJo's face -- which he tried to do -- I was the guy who felt like I could go there and do it.

So, I tried to look at that date as an opportunity for me to show her that I got her back and for her to trust that my insight on everything was true. And I think that she saw that.

When cameras aren't rolling, you guys do spend a lot of time together in the house, you know, privately.  Did Chad just turn it on when the cameras were around or was he like this the entire time you guys were together?

Alex Woytkiw: This wasn't fake. I think he was like this the whole time. And, that's what is important to understand, is that it's not like he just steps in front of the camera for a good confessional, acts the way he acts and then we become friends.

We, as a group of men starting at 26 guys all the way down to where we're at now, all of us had to experience this guy 24/7. So, there's only so much time to show. But, for most people, they've only seen eight hours, whereas for us, we're dealing with a lot of other events, a lot of other things happening on the show and then on top of that, we have to deal with Chad.

And, yeah, it was 24/7. And so, obviously, most of us were hypersensitive to him and wanted nothing to do with him. I mean, most of us were really excited for Rose Ceremonies because we thought he was going to go home. And then the two-on-one last night, I remember seeing me tell him, like, "I'm going to send you home, man." Because if I can't, then who can? (Laughs)

On the two-on-one date, when JoJo had a rose in her hand and was in the process of dumping Chad, did you think in that moment he might become violent?

Alex Woytkiw: Yes, I thought that even prior to JoJo sitting down with us, you know, it was really heated. The conversation that was shown on last night's episode is obviously compressed. And, for me, you can see him telling me wishes that he could hurt me right now.

And, like, I'm over here telling JoJo that all this guy does is resort to violence, he's a violent guy, no one likes him, you deserve a guy that you can bring out and introduce to people and he can be friendly. I'm going through that whole spiel with her, and then I can't follow that up with getting in a fight with the guy during a Rose Ceremony. So, I had to keep my cool.

But yeah, I felt like he was losing it, you know, like he was becoming super unstable, like saying weird things to me, weird. It was like he was unraveling. So, yeah, it was pretty intense.

Were there any other scenarios when you felt like Chad was unstable and possibly going to lose it?

Alex Woytkiw: Oh, yeah. Almost -- I think that the show, especially during last night's episode and Episode 3, showed a pretty good representation of the tone, of like the actual, you know, between the group of guys and confronting him and getting into confrontation. It was serious.

I mean, there were multiple times when all of us were just looking at each other, so confused asking if this is even real life. Like, "Why is this person here? This can't be real." He was threatening people; He threatened me multiple times.

And yeah, pretty much it's like everyone kind of came to the consensus of, "If he comes into my little bubble, then I'm only going to be able to defend myself. Because I'm not going to go attack someone, I'll just defend myself." So everyone was always on that alert. If that makes sense, we were always protecting our little bubble within.
