Ali Fedotowsky feels a stint as the next The Bachelorette star sounds good to her.

"That would be so nice. I would be so flattered," the former The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love bachelorette said during a Tuesday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Fedotowsky was one of four remaining bachelorettes vying for Jake Pavelka's heart when she decided to leave the show during last week's episode to avoid being fired from her job at Facebook, which she began last summer.
"I was given leave of absence papers, so I thought after I used up all my vacation I'd be able to take a leave of absence. I didn't read them. In the leave of absence papers, it says you can't take a leave of absence unless you've been at the company for a year -- and I hadn't," she explained to DeGeneres about how she thought she'd be able to remain in the competition for the duration of the show's filming last fall.
"That's my fault. I told Jake I take complete ownership. I won't make that mistake again."

Since a role as The Bachelorette's star would require her to take more time off from work, Fedotowsky said she'd be unsure how to approach it if she were asked by ABC.

During last night's The Bachelor broadcast, Fedotowsky phoned Pavelka from her home in San Francisco while he was wooing his three remaining bachelorettes in Saint Lucia.
While Fedotowsky professed her love for Pavelka and acknowledged she made a mistake leaving the show, he was unwilling to let her back into the running for his heart -- which she said was surprising.

"One of the reasons it was okay for me to leave in the first place is because I thought if this is love and he really cares about me then he's going to come find me -- he's a pilot, 'Fly to get me!' That would be amazing," she told DeGeneres.
"But I was pretty shocked. I thought we had something really great."
The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love's finale broadcast will air March 1, in which Pavelka will choose between Tenley Molzahn and Vienna Girardi.
"Watching the connection that Vienna and Jake have, I didn't realize that was happening when I was around. They look like a good couple, so I actually think it could be Vienna. I want it to be Tenley -- Tenley and I are really good friends," she told DeGeneres.
"But I'm happy for him whoever he ends up with."
