Matthew and his sisters grew up in a very loving and supportive household in Raleigh. His parents were married throughout his childhood and only recently divorced.
Basketball has always been a part of Matthew’s life. He started playing organized basketball when he was four years old and chose to follow in his father’s footsteps by playing college basketball.
Since he is often gone for several months out of the year playing international basketball, Matthew has struggled in past relationships.
Most of his relationships ended because they lacked an emotional connection and the distance ultimately broke their bond.
He’s hoping that he will be able to connect with a partner on a deeper level and is optimistic that the experts in the Married at First Sight experiment will help him find his true match.
