Amber Portwood was "nervous" to tell her parents about her second pregnancy.
The 27-year-old "Teen Mom OG" star said in an interview with Us Weekly that she was pleasantly surprised by her family's reaction to news she's expecting with Andrew Glennon.
"I was nervous," Portwood confessed. "Obviously it's non-traditional. Usually parents want you to be married first and things like that. But you know me, if I didn't do things the way I did, I wouldn't be me."
"They ended up being very excited and happy for us, so it all turned out well," she said. "Andrew just told his family as well and they're very happy for us."
People reported last week that Portwood is pregnant and expecting a child with Glennon, whom she started dating over the summer.
The pair reportedly met while Portwood was filming "Marriage Boot Camp" with her ex-fiance Matt Baier.
Portwood, who already shares 8-year-old daughter Leah Leann with her ex-fiance Gary Shirley, thanked fans for their well wishes after news of her second pregnancy broke.
"Thank you everyone for all the kind words. I'm very excited for my future with Andrew and our little family we are starting together! Love," she tweeted.
Portwood came to fame on the MTV series "16 & Pregnant" before starring on "Teen Mom."
