Sources close to production told the website that Rogers passed away at age 29 this past weekend in a car accident.
A decision has yet to be made as to whether the footage of Rogers will even be shown during an America's Got Talent episode next month.
On May 30, Rogers shared a photo of America's Got Talent judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Melanie "Mel B" Brown as well as host Tyra Banks to promote the Season 12 premiere.
"No I don't know which episode I'll be on but you'll see me eventually," Rogers captioned the image.
Rogers, whose stage name was "B-Rog," was a gifted singer reportedly discovered by America's Got Talent producers when they saw him on Instagram covering "On Bended Knee" by Boyz II Men, whom Rogers described as his "idols" on social media.
The video of Rogers' vocal stylings went viral at the time of its release and even caught the attention of the famous male R&B group behind the hit.
"Today our hearts are deeply saddened to learn about the sudden death of Dr. Brandon Rogers in a car accident," Boyz II Men wrote on their official Facebook page on June 11 upon hearing the news of the young singer's death.
"A few months back we brought this young man out to the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas to perform with us. He was great all 3 nights! Just a genuinely nice person and a really good singer! Gone too young and gone too soon."
The band concluded, "It hurts to know that the world will never have a chance to witness what his impact on the world could have been as a Doctor and even on the music world. A great spirit and a great voice. Even for the little time we knew you, you will be sorely missed. May God Bless, keep and comfort your family in this difficult time."
Rogers, a medical resident at the time of his passing, graduated from medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2015.
America's Got Talent is currently airing audition episodes every Tuesday night at 8PM ET/PT on NBC.
