Tuesday night's episode had featured the season's last group of 12 quarterfinalist acts performing for home viewer votes.
America's Got Talent host Nick Cannon also revealed last night that Selected of God Choir, Chapkis Dance Family, DADitude and Metal Mulisha Fitz Army had received the four lowest home viewer vote totals.
With blind teenage dancer Benjamin Yonattan, singer Daniella Mass and comedian Gary Vider in jeopardy, America had the chance to save one of them. America therefore had about a 30-minute window to tweet their votes, and home viewers ultimately voted to instantly save Vider.
The announcements left Mass and Yonattan competing for the seventh semifinalist spot. AGT judges Howard Stern, Melanie "Mel B" Brown, Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum had the daunting task of determining which act should advance in the competition. The vote went to Mass, so Yonattan was eliminated.
