After spending weeks in the ICU, Michael was transported to an out-of-state physical therapy, mental health, and rehab facility, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported on Friday, July 7.
"I'm doing much better. This has been an eye-opening experience for me in a big way, brother," Michael told the journal. "That is putting it the best way I can. I'm still repairing, but I have my loved ones here with me."
Michael's wife, Lucie Zolcerva-Grimm, also shared Friday via Facebook that Michael is currently walking without a cane and has his speaking voice back.
"They are starting on vocal exercises. He doesn't have a singing voice yet but he is not stressed over it. He feels that with proper vocal exercises and retraining he will get back on track," Lucie explained.

Michael's family recently hosted a fundraiser to help pay for more than $250,000 in medical bills from the former America's Got Talent winner's hospitalization.
Lucie revealed in early June on social media that Michael was rushed to the emergency room due to what appeared to be a stroke or something like it.
"He was looking increasingly sick. All of a sudden, he could barely walk," Lucie said at the time.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Michael was hospitalized on May 30 and began "fighting for his life." He had to cancel his Memorial Day Weekend performances and all subsequent concerts.
While at the ER, Lucie said her husband "started talking gibberish and all of a sudden, physical tremors were setting in [and] his blood pressure was skyrocketing."

Nurses therefore put the America's Got Talent alum on a ventilator and sedated him so he wouldn't have a real stroke or flatline.
In mid-June, Lucie informed Michael's fans on Instagram that the singer was awake and in "pretty stable" condition while being treated for a mystery illness that didn't have a "definitive cause," according to doctors.
But Lucie revealed that Michael was experiencing "hallucinations and confusion and anger and anxiety" while being weaned off some of his medications.
The former America's Got Talent winner's voice also wasn't strong enough to verbally communicate with others.
Michael won America's Got Talent back in 2010. He had defeated Jackie Evancho, a then 10-year-old opera singer, for the title.
