One of the stars of the TV reality show, "America's Most Smartest Model" has been charged with sexual misconduct and aggravated harassment.
Andre Birleanu, 25, was arrested Thursday for allegedly molesting a 19-year-old actress during a party this month at Cipriani Downtown, an upscale Manhattan restaurant, the New York Post reported Friday.
Birleanu has earned a reputation for being a hothead on the Ben Stein-hosted VH1 show.
"He's just a very, very scary, intimidating person," his accuser told the Post. "He's so explosive. You can see it in his eyes."
Birleanu has served several prison stints since 2000 on charges including assault, harassment, criminal contempt, criminal mischief and trespassing, law enforcement sources told the Post.
After his arraignment Thursday night, he said, "I didn't molest anyone ... I already slept with that girl, so it's strange she would say I touched her inappropriately."
At the time of his arrest, Birleanu was free on $3,500 bail after he was charged on Oct. 17 with leaving a model friend menacing messages, including two in which he allegedly threatened to break her legs. He then allegedly tracked the woman down in the street and grabbed her hair.
