American Idol eliminee Dennis Lorenzo feels singing last out of the Top 10 on Sunday night's performance show played a big role in his ouster.

Dennis, a 26-year-old singer from Philadelphia, PA, apparently feels his placement cost him the American Idol race because home viewers had a smaller window of time to vote for him after he performed The Lion King's "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" at the end of the two-hour broadcast.

Viewers, however, were able to cast votes for all ten finalists throughout the entire broadcast, regardless of whether a finalist had actually performed yet.

"There were concerns from people going first, that they would kind of be forgotten, like if [America] saw someone in the middle, they'd be like, 'Oh, I want to change my vote!'... And then people toward the end were a little bit worried because they were like, 'Man, are people going to have enough time to vote for me?!' And then there's me," Dennis told TMZ.

"Do I think going last played a part in me being eliminated that night? Of course I do."

Dennis was eliminated from the competition along with Adam "Ada Vox" Sanders, a 24-year-old entertainer from San Antonio, TX, and Michelle Sussett, a 22-year-old waitress from Miami, FL, at the conclusion of Sunday night's broadcast which determined American Idol's Top 7 contestants.

"Obviously producers let us know they ran many tests and made sure it was fair, and when you're in a position like this, you trust it. I don't really know how the process works to be honest with you. They told us how it works, but people came up to me and said, 'I didn't have enough time!' or 'I tried to vote for you but I couldn't -- it bounced back and said voting has been closed,'" Dennis explained.

"So with that," he continued, "that sounds like a technical error to me. Do I feel it sucked that I went last? Sure. But what can you do?"

The broadcast marked the first time that an American reality competition series aired live nationwide and allowed viewers across the country to all watch simultaneously, resulting in American Idol airing from 5-7PM in the West Coast time zone.

Viewers were be able to cast their votes by text, on AmericanIdol.com, or through the American Idol app.

While Dennis was the final performer of the show, Ada Vox and Michelle had performed fourth and fifth respectively.

In addition, Ada Vox, Michelle and Dennis had all also failed to finish among the top six vote-getters during last week's Top 10 voting round and only advanced when they were selected by Idol's judges, who were allowed to pick the season's final four Top 10 finalists.

Dennis, however, seems to be doing okay and has a new EP out on iTunes called Dennis Lorenzo Unplugged.
