American Idol's judges have determined the Top 24 fifteenth-season contestants after 51 hopefuls sang in the Live Showcase round and then faced the music of Final Judgment.

During Thursday night's two-hour Idol broadcast on Fox, judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. watched 51 singers take the stage in front of a live audience and perform one final song. After deliberating, the judges were required to only choose 24 contestants to advance. They then told each singer one by one who made the cut and who didn't during Final Judgment.

This season's Top 24 contestants are Jenn Blosil, Mackenzie Bourg, Emily Brooke, James Dawson VIII, Amelia Eisenhauer, Trent Harmon, Gianna Isabella, Lee Jean, CJ Johnson, Adam Lasher, Tristan McIntosh, Jeneve Rose Mitchell, Stephany Negrete, Dalton Rapattoni, Jenna Renae, La'Porsha Renae, Olivia Rox, Jordan Sasser, Thomas Stringfellow, Manny Torres, Sonika Vaid, Kory Wheeler, Avalon Young, and Shelbie Zorn.

There are 13 girls this year and 11 guys because the judges made it clear the female singers were outstanding and the competition amongst them was fierce. Harry said on numerous occasions, "This is a girl's year!"

The performers who particularly blew the judges away in the Live Showcase round were Stephany, Olivia, Jeneve Rose, Mackenzie, Trent, Tristan, Gianna, and La'Porsha.

The 27 standout contestants who were unfortunately eliminated last night were Terrian Bass, Jessica Cabral, Jessica Clark, Isaac Cole, Malie Delgado, Mionne Destiny, Christian Eason, Lindita Halimi, Kayce Haynes, Ameet Kanon, John Klaasen, Tiffany Lamae, Kassy Levels, Colette Lush, Michelle Marie, Kayla Mickelsen, Andrew Nazarbekian, Zach Person, Shevonne Philidor, Chynna Sherrod, Jordyn Simone, Ariel Sprague, Sara Sturm, Anatalia Villaranda, Kelsie Watts, Mary Williams, and Laurel Wright.

Next Wednesday night, 12 of the Top 24 will each sing a solo live onstage as well as a duet with a former American Idol favorite or winner.
