Andi Dorfman dumped Juan Pablo Galavis in a fiery manner after their overnight Fantasy Suite date on Season 18 of The Bachelor, and she apparently regrets ever going on the show in the first place.

Back in 2014, the former Assistant District Attorney for Fulton County, GA, was one of over two dozen women to vie for Galavis' love on The Bachelor. After seemingly convincing herself she was falling in love with the former pro soccer player, the relationship ended badly hours after they spent time behind closed doors and away from the cameras.

Looking back on the experience, Dorfman told Cosmopolitan magazine she felt silly taking part in The Bachelor process right from the get-go.

"I was so naive. I had never really watched the show before... I remember standing in the Rose Ceremony room, it's 4:30 in the morning at this point, it's freezing cold, everyone is cold and nervous standing on these risers, and you could hear the teeth chattering and the deep breaths," Dorfman recalled.

"And I watch Juan Pablo come in with a stack of roses, and I'm thinking, 'This is the stupidest thing I've ever been a part of. I'm standing here cold, my feet hurt, and I'm waiting for a dude I don't know to give me a rose.'"

Dorfman didn't think Galavis cared about her, nor did he express his emotions well to her. Galavis made a habit of telling Dorfman "it's okay" when she was upset, but the short phrase just infuriated her even more. The whole exchange inspired the title of her new tell-all memoir It's Not Okay: Turning Heartbreak Into Happily Never After, which hits shelves May 17.

Dorfman left such an impression on viewers for being a strong independent woman that she went on to star on The Bachelorette's tenth season. She got engaged to Josh Murray at the end of filming, and while she truly found love, they split in January 2015.

"It took me a while to look back on [The Bachelorette] fondly," admitted Dorfman, who was clearly devastated after her relationship with Murray didn't work out. "I definitely didn't during the breakup, and even when I was still in the relationship, when things weren't good, I didn't look at it fondly."

However, Dorfman has come to appreciate the franchise, especially considering her lifestyle has drastically changed for the better.

"Now I'm like, I got to do this incredible thing that I had no business doing. I have no business being on television, being on a red carpet, being on a press tour. So I can't help but look at it and feel like one of the luckiest girls in the world," she told Cosmopolitan.

The Bachelorette's twelfth season premieres May 23 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
