Andi Dorfman's status as the next star of The Bachelorette appears to have been further confirmed by a letter in which her D. A. boss has granted her a three-month leave of absence to appear on an unspecified "program."

The letter to The Bachelor bachelorette, a 26-year-old assistant district attorney, from her boss Paul Howard Jr., the District Attorney of Fulton County in Georgia, has been obtained by TMZ.
Although Dorfman is reportedly in the middle of prosecuting a murder trial in Atlanta, she's been given time off for her "unusual" request from February 20 to May 31, which covers the period when The Bachelorette will film its next season.
Howard Jr.'s letter written on February 18 reads: "I am in receipt of your request for temporary leave... As I mentioned to you before, although this request is highly unusual, because you are a valued member of the District Attorney's Office I am willing to grant your request, albeit with certain caveats."
"It is my understanding that your temporary leave is not to exceed past May 31st, 2014. In granting this request, I must make clear that this leave time will be unpaid. However, I am willing to hold your position until your return. I wish you the best of luck while you participate in this program."

Dorfman is reportedly producers' top pick to become The Bachelorette's tenth-season star following her dramatic The Bachelor exit in which she dumped Juan Pablo Galavis for not meeting her expectations.
Dorfman has already talked with the show's producers about the opportunity and been selected for the role although the decision remains unofficial, E! News reported.
The Bachelorette star will be revealed during the After the Final Rose special, which will air on ABC immediately after The Bachelor's eighteenth-season finale on March 10, and the new edition will premiere in late spring.
