The 33-year-old actress apologized for throwing "unintended shade" after sharing a meme that encouraged fans to be "a Helena Bonham Carter" in "a world of Kardashians."

Hathaway replaced the post with a message reading, "Post removed for unintended shade thrown."

She further explained in the caption, writing, "It never occurred to me I was pitting anyone against each other. Not my style. Peace x."

The original post featured a photo of Bonham Carter with the text, "In a world of Kardashians... be a Helena Bonham Carter."

Fans attacked Hathaway on social media, with one person chiding, "Really Anne? You don't have to put other people down to bring someone up."

Hathaway and Carter co-starred as the White Queen and the Red Queen in the 2010 movie "Alice in Wonderland" and will reprise the roles in "Alice Through the Looking Glass."

The sequel premiered on Monday in Los Angeles.

"One of the things that I love about the movie is you can't change the past," the actress told E! News at the event. "I think that it's kind of easy to fixate on the past and what you could have done differently ... You can't change the past but you can take the lesson with you."

Hathaway stunned in a form-fitting Christopher Kane dress at the premiere, just two months after welcoming son Jonathan Rosebanks with husband Adam Schulman.

She made her post-baby red carpet debut at an Alice event earlier in May.

"I'd say the biggest change is I'm not really sweating the small stuff," the star told E! of motherhood. "My son's at home and he's fed and he's happy, so there's nothing else that I'm worried about."

"Alice Through the Looking Glass" co-stars Mia Wasikowska and Johnny Depp and opens in theaters Friday, May 27.

Hathaway is also slated for the sci-fi thriller "Colossal" with Jason Sudeikis and Dan Stevens.
