Ariana hinted that watching her team members get eliminated throughout the season was too much for her to bear.
"I got so emotionally attached to everyone," Ariana admitted to Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers on the November 6 episode of their "Las Culturistas" podcast.
"That's my problem," she elaborated. "I can't really do that."
The 31-year-old Wicked star explained that caring about The Voice contestants so much really took a toll on her.
"I really get in! I really get in there with everyone," Ariana said.
"I love everyone so much," she continued. "I love meeting people, and I felt so invested. And I still do, like I see them all on Instagram."
A trio of singers "Girl Named Tom" won The Voice's 21st season, and they represented Kelly Clarkson's team. This victory marked Kelly's fourth win as a coach.
Former The Voice coach Blake Shelton's team member Wendy Moten finished the season in second place.
The finalist who claimed third place was Paris Winningham, who also represented Blake's team.
Fourth place went to "Team Kelly" member Hailey Mia, and coach John Legend's team member Jershika Maple claimed fifth place.
Ariana did not have an artist in the finale, but she said she's done a pretty good job of keeping up with her Season 21 team members.

Ariana pointed out how she keeps tabs on Bella DeNapoli, David Vogel and Raquel Trinidad, although she's been really busy lately and hasn't had time to touch base with anyone.
"But I love them and I'm in touch with them on Instagram," Ariana clarified. "I like their posts, I see their things, I see what they're up to."
Ariana shared how Bella just had a baby and "Jim & Sasha" member Sasha Allen has been putting out solo music.
"So I'm still in touch with some of them, but I get very involved," Ariana reiterated.
Although Ariana has no intention of reprising her role on The Voice, that doesn't mean she didn't have fun on her season.
Ariana joked about how spinning around in the big red chair "was a perk" for her.
"It was a good perk... You'll have to try it some time. It is really fun," Ariana said.
Ariana told E! News in 2021 how her time on The Voice was much more challenging than she had anticipated it to be.

As a newbie, Ariana apparently found it hard to keep up with -- and compete against -- them.
"You watch it on TV and you think you know, 'Okay, I'm going to get in there and it's going to be easy whatever,'" Ariana shared at the time.
"But it's so hard. [The other coaches] are so seasoned and so great at it."
Ariana gushed about how it "felt so amazing" to be a part of The Voice, which has been such a beloved show on NBC for years.
"I love everybody's energy so much," Ariana added. "Being able to work with Kelly and John and Blakeāit's been so informative and I'm learning so much."
The Voice is currently airing its 26th season on NBC. The show stars Reba McEntire, Michael Buble, Snoop Dogg, and Gwen Stefani as its coaches.
