Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s decision to oust Krystal Nielson over Kendall Long on their two-on-one date was a difficult one, but The Bachelor star apparently believes the popular choice was the correct one.

Arie had two women and only one rose. The trio attempted to enjoy the Chateau De Breteuil in Paris, France for their two-on-one date, but even with the French countryside and the beautiful art and grounds to explore, the date was "awkward" to say the least.
"To be honest, I had been slightly worried about it the whole time. That said, I knew that with the right perspective it could be a really positive experience... Even though the date is inherently kind of awkward, I wanted to make sure everyone was comfortable and still had a great time in a beautiful setting," Arie explained.
"I really wanted to get to know Kendall more and, at the same time, evaluate if my relationship with Krystal was too broken to fix. After an amazing start, we took a major step back in Fort Lauderdale, and this was our last chance to possibly recover."
In Florida, Krystal allegedly called Arie "a liar" because he initially said he'd spend time at an afterparty with the winning bowling team, only to change his mind and invite the losing team as well. Krystal threw a little temper tantrum and forced Arie to find her in her hotel room, where she was sulking over the turn of events.
Arie told Krystal at the time he wished she had confronted him and addressed their issues head on, adding that their first fight may be their last. But Arie gave Krystal a rose in Florida, hoping they could get back to the happy place they were in when the bachelorette had met his family.
Arie matched Kendall and Krystal for the two-on-one date in Paris because he had questions and concerns about them both. With Kendall, Arie feared she wasn't ready to get married or settle down since her longest relationship was 10 months.
"Despite the intensity of the date, Kendall was cool, confident and relaxed enough for us to grow significantly closer. I know most of you guys may see her as the quirky taxidermy girl, but she is so much more than that," Arie wrote in his blog.
"She's intelligent, funny and always full of facts. Her ability to articulate her thoughts impressed me so much, and I felt so much potential in our relationship that day. I was still worried about her lack of a previous long-term relationship, but her viewpoint on marriage and 'when' a person is ready was really refreshing."
Watching the episode back on Monday night, Arie said he didn't realize "just how contentious" things were between the two blonde beauties.
"I am so impressed with Kendall's ability to stick up for herself and for me and for all the other women on the show," Arie explained of the girl who came to the conclusion that Krystal was cruel when feeling vulnerable and insecure.
"When it comes down to it, I just knew I'd never be able to really trust Krystal again."

He added, "There were too many red flags at this point and, though I tried, I could not get over her meltdown in Fort Lauderdale. I wanted to give myself a chance to get over that incident and see if we could recover, but none of her apologies were able to repair what was broken."

Despite Krystal's confidence in herself and her relationship with Arie, the pro racing driver sent her home.
"Though I once had very strong feelings for her, those feelings were now gone. It was time to say goodbye. Ultimately, I had to remember why I came on the show in the first place," Arie said.
"My decision wasn't just based on needing to say goodbye to Krystal. I also needed to keep seeing Kendall. My feelings for her were growing more and more every day."
Once Arie and Kendall left Krystal sitting alone at the dinner table, the couple ran to the top of the Eiffel Tower and shared an extremely romantic kiss.
"[The moment] was pure bliss," Arie noted. "We literally ran across town to catch the last elevator up and made it to our platform just in time to be able to kiss while overlooking Paris. What a beautiful end to a really stressful day."
In addition to Krystal, Arie also eliminated Jenna Cooper and Chelsea Roy during his week in Paris. Only seven women remain in the running for his heart.
