Ashley Iaconetti and Kevin Wendt split because there was a lack of magic, but Ashley has nothing bad to say about the Canadian firefighter who stole her heart.

Ashley, 30, and Kevin, 34, fell for each other on The Bachelor Winter Games, but they broke up less than one month after the finale aired on ABC in February.
"He's such a sweet guy," Ashley told People. "Perfect husband material. Just not my husband."
Long distance, different lifestyles and a missing spark were apparently the reasons why Ashley and Kevin's relationship didn't work out.
But Ashley has no regrets, as she told the magazine appearing on The Bachelor Winter Games was still "successful" because fans got to see "a different side" of her. After all, Bachelor Nation was pretty accustomed to watching Ashley cry and get rejected by men on the series.

Ashley not only failed to win the heart of Chris Soules on The Bachelor's nineteenth season, but she also failed to find love on Bachelor in Paradise's second and third seasons.
In addition, viewers had to watch Ashley chase after her best friend, Jared Haibon, and suffer from unrequited love.
"I think that at [our age], if after three months you're not in that honeymoon period, I feel like you should probably go your separate ways," Ashley explained to People of her decision to call it quits with Kevin.
"I didn't want to lead him on any longer because even though he's such a high-quality guy -- couldn't ask for a better boyfriend -- he just wasn't my forever guy. But he taught me how to be desired and appreciated and just smothered in love, so that was nice."
So Ashley is newly single and back on the market. As for what she's looking for in a future boyfriend, she said "conversation needs to be on point."

"It just needs to flow and [you should] have similar lifestyles and interests," Ashley elaborated.
"Somebody that makes you feel really comfortable. I honestly have never been involved with somebody who's been obsessed with themselves. That's really unappealing if you're on a date. I've had dates with [guys like that] and I'm like, 'See ya later!'"
When Ashley and Kevin first discussed their split on The Ben and Ashley I: Almost Famous Podcast, it became apparent Kevin was not the one who hurt Ashley.
"It sounds a little harsh, but it's just that lack of magic," Ashley said at the time. "We get along very well, it's just there's a little something missing and you can't really pinpoint what it is."
"I feel like I got friend-zoned," Kevin said with a laugh. "Ashley, you friend-zoned me."
