"We're not going to cure cancer and I don't think we'll heal any babies with this show. It is what it is but you put a lot into it."
The actor and his partner Kym Johnson became the fifth couple eliminated from Dancing with the Stars' eighth season during the results show.
"I don't regret anything," Grier told OK!. "It's a crazy show, a wonderful show."
Grier and Johnson were eliminated despite winning a "Dance Off" against former NFL superstar Lawrence Taylor and his partner Edyta Sliwinska. The couples were required to compete in the "Dance Off" because they had finished as the bottom two couples based on a combination of the judges' scores and home viewer votes from the Monday night's performance show.
"That's the way it goes," Johnson told OK! about the ouster.
"I think we were in the middle of the pack and maybe the fans felt we were okay and voted for the ones on the bottom. Comedians have not really had a good track record on Dancing with the Stars."
Competing on Dancing with the Stars also gave Grier with an opportunity to reconnect with an former co-worker -- judge Carrie Ann Inaba, who had previously worked as a Fly Girl with the comedian in the early 1990s on In Living Color. However despite their previous relationship, Grier seemed to have some harsh words for Inaba.
"She better not come within 10 feet of me because she's getting a foot in her ass," Grier told OK!. "I feel like we never got the respect of the judges. Never!"
Grier added he also came-up just short in reaching one of the goals he set for himself before participating in the show.
"My biggest disappointment is I did not lose 30," Grier, who lost 28 pounds, told OK!. "I was going to power through and chew some gum and smoke some cigarettes to get those pounds down."
Now that his Dancing with the Stars journey is over, Grier is focusing on Dance Flick -- a new movie he'll star in that will hit theaters May 22.

"It's a spoof on Step it Up and those kinds of movies that the Wayans Brothers did," he told OK!. "I play the evil 1,000-pound henchman but I do this huge dance number at the end. I had to wear 60 pounds of padding."
In addition, Grier said he's writing a book about his life titled "Barack like Me" that is currently slated to be published this fall.
"It's mainly about this last year leading up to Barack Obama's election and the changes America went through and my thoughts on all of that and it ends with Dancing with the Stars," he told OK!. "I've been keeping a diary and so I'll talk about this experience."
