Bachelor in Paradise couple Carly Waddell and Evan Bass have the potential for a lasting relationship, at least according to castmate Daniel Maguire.

Despite many hiccups along the way for Waddell and Bass, Maguire told reporters during a recent interview, "I feel like they could be a strong couple."

As Bachelor in Paradise's third season airs, Waddell -- who's trying to find love her second time in Paradise -- and Bass, who is fresh off JoJo Fletcher's season of The Bachelorette, have the most interesting dynamic of all the established couples.

"[Carly] started off by... not being interested as you know because she didn't have that physical kind of connection and, you know, the other half that you need," Maguire explained.

Waddell was both turned on and turned off by Maguire's weird and quirky personality. She gave the relationship a shot, but after a horrible kiss, she wanted to just be friends.

However, Bass continued to pursue Waddell, and after seeing a different -- more manly -- side of him when he was hospitalized, she decided to give the erectile dysfunction specialist another chance.

"She still thought he was a good guy, you know, had good heart," Maguire noted. "And then as you can see, things look exciting. They're kind of working out in that she takes an interest now."

Regardless of bumps in the road, Maguire admitted he has a feeling Bass and the cruise ship singer could work out in the long run.

"I feel like that could be a strong couple," Maguire said of the pair, who both currently live in Nashville, TN.

"And I even said... at one point of the show like, 'Yes, I think you guys would make a good couple.' I said that because I think they both get along well."

Maguire, who is not the type of guy to throw out undeserved compliments, said Waddell and Bass have "very good hearts" and are "very smart people [and] friendly."

Maguire feels confident enough to make the assertion Bass and Waddell can last as a couple because he got to know them both pretty well. He especially thought Waddell was "cool" while filming Bachelor in Paradise.

"So I know that she's a good person and I know Evan as well," Maguire concluded. "So I think they would make a good match."
