Abigail had felt lied to and betrayed, but an October 2021 finale update revealed that Abigail and Noah reconciled once they returned home and began taking things "slowly."
During a recent appearance on the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast co-hosted by Becca Kufrin and Michelle Young, Noah recalled being the one to reach out to Abigail first after their messy split in Mexico.
"I'm pretty sure I texted her a neutral, platonic text, 'Hope your well,' on the way to the airport," Noah revealed, confirming that he couldn't even wait until he got back to the United States to contact his former flame.
When Becca teased Noah for sending such a general, non-personal message, Noah assured the Season 14 The Bachelorette star, "It was a checkup!"
"It was like, 'Yeah, I'm sorry how that turned out. I have my own reasons but it still probably came off as a d-ck move, but obviously I still care for you,'" he explained.
Abigail, who joined Noah in the podcast interview, admitted, "I really didn't know what he was trying to achieve. The text really was neutral. It wasn't like, 'I want to get back together with you,' but it also wasn't, 'Goodbye, forever.'"
Noah said viewers saw on Bachelor in Paradise how his breakup with Abigail wasn't "easy."
"Once I came to that decision, 'Here's what I'm going to do,' it wasn't an easy thing for me," Noah confessed. "I obviously still cared for her, and I'm not that mean of a guy! So it was kind of like all of those things into one."
"But I was like, 'I can't hit on her. That's really messed up for me to break up with her and then, eight hours later, hit on her,'" he continued. "But I also wasn't like, 'Hey, that was great. Peace out.'"

Noah therefore reiterated how he had reached out to Abigail, once he received his phone back from producers, without a motive or intent to win her back.
"I think I called you right after that, like, 'Tell me what happened!'" Abigail chimed in with a big smile.
"Yeah," Noah agreed. "The first, like, 15 texts were super sassy, like, whatever. I was just like, 'I'm good. I'm going to let her get all of this out. Whatever, we're going to get this out.'"
The couple then talked and Noah returned to Utah, where he didn't jump right back into working as a nurse. At the time, he said he was just golfing, riding his motorcycle, "chillin'" and trying to get over his "heartbreak."
"But Abigail was still on my mind, so we talked and then decided, 'Alright, no more. This isn't good for us.' And then I FaceTimed her. I said, 'I need time to think,'" Noah said.
"And then I FaceTimed her like two days later. So I didn't last that long. And then she was done being sassy and she sweetened up a little bit. And I was like, 'Okay! Alright, alright! [Let's] see what we've got here!'"
The couple then gushed on social media in October 2021 how they're both in love with each other.

Noah added how he and Abigail had been sneaking around for four months and he was so happy to finally declare her "babes" in public after Bachelor in Paradise's finale aired.

Noah also wrote on Instagram last year, "You never know what you got until it's gone, then you never let it go. I love you @abigail_heringer. Here is to laughing through life until we are old. (World, meet my new GF, turns out we do know how to talk to each other and I think I'll keep her)."
Abigail, who is originally from Oregon, announced on Instagram last week that she and Noah are ending their long-distance relationship.
Abigail revealed she's relocating from New York City to the West Coast, where Noah -- who's originally from Oklahoma -- currently resides and works as a travel nurse.
News of Abigail and Noah's romantic reunion had leaked out prior to the Bachelor in Paradise 7 finale.
Reality Steve spoiler blogger Steve Carbone reported in late September 2021 that Noah and Abigail had been seeing each other post-show, and on October 1, he tweeted a photo showing the pair at a coffee shop in Oklahoma together.
Noah also posted a video on Instagram Stories in early October poking fun at rumors about Abigail allegedly having hooked up with Clare's ex Dale Moss earlier in the year.
A woman could be heard laughing, and so Noah's followers assumed that person was Abigail and she apparently found the Dale rumors funny.
Prior to appearing on Bachelor in Paradise, Noah competed for Clare and Tayshia Adams on The Bachelorette's sixteenth season in 2020, and Abigail failed to find love with Matt James on The Bachelor 25.
