Grodd, who was known for being very open about his feelings on The Bachelorette -- and for being "hot, hot, hot," according to Andi Dorfman -- was eliminated by the show's tenth-season star after she visited her Final 4 suitors' hometowns. Grodd had told Dorfman he loved her, so he was devastated by his unexpected ouster.
"He was the first to fall and he was easily the most open with his emotions and feelings, which is good. That's the reason we try to get everyone to open up and not be guarded because it takes everyone to go through this and be open and then her to realize, 'Okay, I'm not there, I can't match your feelings,' which is why she ended up letting him go. So kudos to Marcus for being that guy," Harrison told TV Guide in a recent interview.
Will viewers see that same man on Bachelor in Paradise, you wonder?
"You'll see the same great side to Marcus. He's a sweet, really good guy, he's got a lot to offer, he's incredibly successful and this whole thing was very cathartic to him," Harrison explained. "He had a lot of family issues. He isn't the guy who would bring a girl home or gush like he did so for him to be that guy now was a huge experience."
As previously announced, two other bachelors who competed for Dorfman's heart will star on Bachelor in Paradise: Cody Sattler and Marquel Martin.
The 11 other former The Bachelor and The Bachelorette contestants who will reportedly be participating on the reality dating series are as follows: Michelle Money, Graham Bunn, Clare Crawley, Lacy Faddoul, AshLee Frazier, Robert Graham, Sarah Herron, Michelle Kujawa, Daniella McBride, Elise Mosca, and Ben Scott.
Bachelor in Paradise will basically share the same concept as Bachelor Pad but be filmed in an exotic location instead of the usual Los Angeles mansion. All of the contestants will be looking to get a second chance at finding love. Harrison will resume his role as host.
