Bachelor in Paradise's Joe Bailey apologized to Juelia Kinney as well as America on After Paradise for all the lying and manipulation surrounding his obsessive relationship with Samantha Steffen, but did host Chris Harrison buy it?
"I don't know," Harrison told TV Guide in an interview.

Harrison revealed something Bailey had told him during a commercial break on After Paradise that might give some insight into his sincerity.
"I shook his hand and said, 'I think you did fine,' and he said, 'Well, what else could I do? It's not like it could get worse.' He was backed into a corner and he couldn't defend that, so he took the only path he could which was to admit he was wrong and try to redeem himself," the host said.
"We've seen him do this before, where he sweet-talked his way out of things. So, how do we believe he's not doing it now? Is he sincere? I don't know."
However, Harrison still wanted to give the guy a little credit.
"With all that said, I respected the fact he made the attempt [to apologize] Monday, and whether or not you believe it, he seemed contrite and really feels he made an ass of himself," Harrison noted.
He explained that Bachelor in Paradise viewers saw a "sad side of a boy chasing a really pretty girl and her just abusing him."
"He just wanted Samantha," the host told TV Guide. "Did he go about it in a really bad way? Yes. Did he make massive mistakes? Yes, it was indefensible. But I think he drank the Samantha Kool-Aid and [became] a desperate guy trying to get the girl. He [tried] to essentially blackmail her into a relationship."
Steffen ended up denying Bailey her rose and giving it to Dan Cox instead. With Cox and Nick Peterson going after her now, it will be interesting to see whether Steffen leaves Paradise with a love interest or maybe even a boyfriend.
Bachelor in Paradise's finale airs next week.
