Bachelor in Paradise fans can think what they want about JJ Lane, but hey, at least he's honest.

Lane came across as an arrogant, cocky guy on Season 11 who was obsessed with himself and his bromance with fellow suitor Clint Arlis. Even comedian Amy Schumer called Lane "a turd" during a stand-up comedy group date.
So when asked whether he entered Paradise to clear his name, Lane confessed, "Yes."
"I didn't go on Paradise for necessarily the right reasons," he told TV Guide. "I was a little jaded like, 'I'm not going to find someone and this is my obligation almost,' but I feel like I left for the right reasons."
However, Lane, a 32-year-old father and former investment banker from Denver, CO, insisted he didn't change from season to season -- that he never tried to be someone he's not.
"I literally was the exact same person. The difference was that the guys [on Paradise] knew who I was and understood my humor and we were friends so that helped; there wasn't a rough transition," he said.
"The whole thing with Clint was very tongue in cheek and we actually never did anything to be mean. It also wasn't as cutthroat here since we're not fighting for one girl, so it wasn't so aggressive."
But based on previews for what's to come this season on Bachelor in Paradise, things may get aggressive between Lane and Joe Bailey. After all, the cast voted Lane "Most Likely To Get In A Bar Fight" when handing out silly superlatives to one another.
"Joe knocked me out on the two-on-one, but Joe might have something coming back his way," Lane teased, referencing his two-on-one date with Bailey and Bristowe on The Bachelorette.
The second episode of Bachelor in Paradise concluded with Lane giving his rose to Tenley Molzahn instead of Jillian Anderson. He and Molzahn kissed before the Rose Ceremony, but it's not clear whether there's actually romantic chemistry there since Molzahn was desperate to stick around longer in the hope of finding love.
"I didn't know who Tenley was," Lane admitted.
"I asked her out because I just thought she was pretty and we had a lot in common with background and family and someone after says, 'You know, she's America's sweetheart. This is really good for you.' I was like, 'I don't even know who she is. I just think she's cool.' What a combination though! But Tenley is an amazing friend and it was fun to explore things for her."
