Bachelor in Paradise spoilers reveal what happened between Chris Bukowski and Katie Morton at the end of Paradise's sixth season and whether the couple is still together or maybe even engaged now.

Chris and Katie's on-screen romance

Katie and Chris started out Bachelor in Paradise's sixth season as friends, but Chris pushed their friendship into a different direction during the cocktail party that preceded the season's second Rose Ceremony when he comforted her during a time of need.

Katie crushed Wills Reid by letting him know she wasn't interested in pursuing a relationship with him, but hurting Wills' feelings resulted in Katie bawling her eyes out and feeling guilty.

Chris didn't like seeing Kate so upset, and so he pulled her aside to talk and calm her down. Chris offered her a shoulder to cry on, assured her that she was no monster, and respected her emotions.

Katie learned in that moment Chris had romantic feelings for her and he was trying to make a move.

"This is where I want to be. I want to be here and I want to be here with you. My favorite part of the day is always talking to you," Chris told Katie.

"Our conversations are effortless and it's easy for me to be open with you. I'm not here to waste my time or anyone's time. I came here to do this for a reason, to invest my time in [someone] fully, and right now, I feel like that's with you. I want it to be with you."

Chris made Katie feel secure and calm, and she apparently felt connected with him and gushed about how he "rocks."

Katie said she could see herself falling for Chris if things kept progressing in a positive manner, and she couldn't believe he was still single.

Katie and Chris' connection appeared to deepen quickly after that point.

"I'm here to find someone and I'm 100 percent pursuing Katie and there's no one else here I'd really want to invest any time in," Chris said in a confessional during the latest episode that aired on August 13.

"The only thing I hope for tonight is that I get a rose from Katie, and I'm extremely excited about that, because I don't want a rose from anyone else and I think we're at a spot where we have an understanding with each other and really want to take that next step in our relationship."

At the second Rose Ceremony, Katie gave her rose to Chris.

However, Katie found herself sabotaging her relationship once things got serious.

Although she really liked Chris and was only interested in him in Paradise, Katie gave Chris her blessing to explore other options, which resulted in Chris feeling hurt and slighted since he had been looking to be exclusive with Katie at the time.

Chris therefore accepted a date with the beautiful Jennifer Saviano, thinking maybe he and Katie -- whom he had invested all of his time and feelings into -- weren't on the same page after all.

Jennifer surprised Chris on their date with her wit and personality, and so much to Katie's dismay, Chris found himself crushing on two wonderful women at once.

But after Katie opened her heart to Chris and insisted she only wanted to be with him and was very serious about their relationship, he gave her his rose at the third Rose Ceremony of the season.

Chris and Katie have been inseparable ever since on the show, and Katie gave Chris a rose at the season's fourth Rose Ceremony.

Does Chris and Katie's romance end in Paradise?

Bachelor in Paradise's fifth Rose Ceremony is on the horizon.

ABC teased in a press release for the next two episodes set to air on Monday, September 9 and Tuesday, September 10, "Chris and Katie are hoping that their make-or-break date will show them just how amazing their relationship could be."

"But will Chris decide to let his walls down and open up to her?" ABC wrote.

Chris will give Katie his rose at the upcoming Rose Ceremony, according to Reality Steve spoiler blogger Steve Carbone.

Bachelor in Paradise host Chris Harrison will then explain to the remaining pairs only the serious couples who truly plan to continue dating after the show should accept an overnight Fantasy Suite-date invitation.

Chris and Katie will reportedly choose to enjoy an overnight date together and get to know each other better behind closed doors.

And then in the finale, according to Carbone, Chris proposes marriage to Katie and she accepts!

Chris and Katie are therefore one of three couples to reportedly get engaged on Season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise.

In addition to Chris and Katie, Demi Burnett reportedly gets engaged to her girlfriend Kristian Haggerty and Dylan Barbour gets engaged to Hannah Godwin.

There is currently no indication that Chris and Katie have broken up since Bachelor in Paradise finished filming in Mexico in late June.

According to Bachelor Spoilers Instagram account, Katie came onstage at the reunion special that taped on August 27 not wearing her engagement ring, but they are still very much engaged!

Bachelor Spoilers revealed, "Katie says it has been difficult" but Chris "promises to do better," and so Katie put her ring back on by the end of the reunion special.

Chris and Katie's Bachelor history

Chris initially found fame way back on Emily Maynard's season of The Bachelorette, but he got rejected when Emily determined her Final 3 bachelors.

Chris later returned for Season 3 of Bachelor Pad and then crashed Andi Dorfman's season of The Bachelorette. But Andi chose not to let Chris join her cast of guys since he had developed a player reputation from his time on Bachelor Pad.

Chris then appeared on Seasons 1 and 2 of Bachelor in Paradise, but he only lasted several weeks on each season.

Chris famously announced his "retirement" from The Bachelor franchise in 2015, but he apparently had a change of heart and decided to do the show again.

As for Katie, she is a medical sales representative from Sherman Oaks, CA, who appeared on Season 23 of The Bachelor starring Colton Underwood. She finished in eighth place on Colton's season.
