Although they've only known each other a few months and their relationship was just publicly revealed on Monday night's fifth-season finale broadcast, new The Bachelorette couple Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski are planning a relatively short engagement.

"I think that we're certainly going to get married in the next 12 months," Swiderski, a 29-year-old technology consultant from Chicago, IL, told The Bachelorette host Chris Harrison during Tuesday night's broadcast of the season's After the Final Rose special.

"We're so excited.  The bottom line is like we love each other [and] we have fun with each other and take it slow, why?  We haven't taken it slow from the start," added Harris, a 29-year-old interior designer from Vancouver, BC.  "Our parents are exited, we're excited, and yeah, we're just going to have fun with it."

"I think we've both adjusted pretty well so far and I think we're going to be great together," Swiderski said.

Swiderski proposed to Harris after she selected him over Kiptyn Locke at her The Bachelorette season's final Rose Ceremony, which was filmed in Hawaii in late May..

However the couple was able to continue seeing each other regularly despite having to keep their engagement secret until the show's finale aired on Monday night.

"We've kind of been living with each other, we spent a lot of time together this summer," Harris said.

"We only spent probably five days total apart from each other, five or six days total," Swiderski added.

Should they actually walk down the wedding aisle, Harris and Swiderski would join first-season The Bachelorette couple Trista and Ryan Sutter as only The Bachelor or The Bachelorette couples to get married in the reality dating franchise's 18 seasons.

In the meantime, Harris is planning to relocate to Chicago shortly.

"I think what we're going to do right away is Jill is going to come to Chicago for a little while.  She's going to move into my place in Chicago, right downtown," Swiderski told Harrison during The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose special.

"We have big summer plans of family reunions and weddings and just real-life stuff that we're both really excited about and then basically September 1st I'm going to pack up my bags and go from there," Harris said.
