As The Bachelorette viewers saw in the season preview which aired at the conclusion of the season premiere, Jenn Tran's The Bachelorette experience included one of her former boyfriends attempting to join the pool of bachelors competing for her heart.
According to Carbone, Matt Rossi is the ex-boyfriend who attempts to join The Bachelorette and he does it in New Zealand during the season's third round of dates.
However, his appearance on The Bachelorette is reportedly brief as Jenn declines to let him join the show.
"He arrives the day of the Episode 4 rose ceremony in Auckland, New Zealand, and Jenn clearly doesn’t let him join the show because there's zero evidence of him anywhere from that moment on," Carbone wrote in a blog post after The Bachelorette season's premiere had aired on ABC.
"I assume [the existing guys] tell her they don’t want him there, tell him he's already had his chance with her, and Jenn doesn't let him continue on the show."
