Kasey Kahl wanted to prove his love for Ali Fedotowsky was genuine with a tattoo of a shielded heart on his wrist, however she still felt he wasn't right for her.

Fedotowsky eliminated the 27-year-old advertising account executive from Clovis, CA after a two-on-one date during last night's The Bachelorette sixth-season broadcast on ABC.

"I got the tattoo because I wanted to show no matter what I say, it's how I feel and it's genuine. It's just difficult to put that out there and for her to say, 'It's just not good enough.' That kind of sucked," said Kasey after he was left standing on a glacier in Iceland.

"I don't want to continue to keep going through this. I want to find someone that's going to be there for me. I just don't know where it went wrong."

In addition, Chris Nordhorn, a 29-year-old entrepreneur from Orlando, FL, failed to receive a rose from Fedotowsky during the episode's subsequent Rose Ceremony.

"I'm kind of lost for words to be honest. I'm a little shattered by this whole thing," opined Chris N. after his ouster.

"I think I had a lot of qualities to bring to her. She did miss out on a lot of things about me. Had I stuck around, maybe I would have come out of my shell a little bit more and maybe she would have made a different decision in the end. It's something, for sure, I'll have a little bit of regret on. It's just tough to lose such a good girl. It is the worst pain that anyone ever has to experience."

The Bachelorette's fifth sixth-season episode began with the nine remaining bachelors arriving in Iceland -- their first stop abroad on their globe-trotting trip with Ali. Kasey commented that Iceland would be a "great place" to reveal his tattoo to Ali.

"It's got to be the right moment, the right place and the right time," he added.

The bachelors then met host Chris Harrison, who explained that there would be one group date, a one-on-one date, and a two-on-on-date during the upcoming week.

Ali would have a rose to give on each date, and if a bachelor received a rose he'd be safe at the upcoming ceremony. If a bachelor failed to receive a rose on the individual or two-on-one date, he'd be going home immediately. 

Chris then revealed the bachelors would be competing for the one-on-one date with Ali by writing a love poem to her before performing it in front of her. She would then decide who deserved the one-on-one date. In addition, Chris said there would be some bonus points if they worked in some Icelandic.

"It's so important that Ali likes the poem and I get the one-on-one date because that's the best way to spend your time with her," said Kirk DeWindt, a 27-year-old sales consultant from Green Bay, WI.

The guys had an hour and got to work on their poems.

"I don't have much experience writing poems. There's a lot of pressure involved with this," said Chris N..

The bachelors then performed their poems for Ali.

"I think it's difficult for guys to express their feelings, especially through poetry," she said. "I think it takes a real man to sort of just buck up and do it."

After all the poems were performed, Ali revealed that she'd be going on the one-on-one date with Kirk.

"Ali and I've, we've built a pretty good connection for the time we've spent with each other," he said. "I just want to solidify that. I want to keep our momentum going, and I want her to see that I can potentially be her husband."

The date commenced and began with Kirk and Ali going to shop for some Icelandic clothing.

"I feel really close to Ali right now," said Kirk. "It's really special when you can find a woman that you can be your little kid self around. I feel like I can bring my inner-child out when I'm with her, and it's okay."

The two left the shop wearing the same outfit. Ali said she felt like they were a "couple" as they explored the city and added he's "upbeat and positive."

"I didn't think I'd feel this close to Kirk, but I think I can see myself with him," she added.

The two talked, and Kirk said he was "nervous" to tell her about his dating past.

"It leaves me exposed, it leaves me vulnerable," he said in a confessional. "It makes me nervous because I've been hurt in the past."

Ali said she was "concerned" that Kirk hadn't dated anyone in more than a year.

"I feel like Kirk is keeping something back," she said in a confessional. "I just feel like there's something else I need to know. I want to give him a rose, but I just don't know. I'm hoping he's able to open up tonight."

Back at their Icelandic hotel room, Chris N.; Roberto Martinez, a 26-year-old insurance agent from Charleston, SC; Chris Lambton, a 33-year-old landscaper from Cape Cod, MA; Craig Robinson, a 27-year-old lawyer from Philadelphia, PA; Ty Brown, a 31-year-old in medical sales from Nashville, TN; and Frank Neuschaefer, a 31-year-old retail manager, from Geneva, IL, learned they'd be accompanying Ali on the group date.

"I definitely see a little bit of fear in Kasey's eyes," said Justin Rego, a 26-year-old entertainment wrestler from Toronto, Canada who would be going on the two-on-one date with Kasey and Ali.

"Just like in the wrestling world, when you see a little bit of fear in your opponent's eyes, you've got to do what you've got to do -- basically, take him out."

That night, Ali and Kirk had dinner and he revealed that he got sick five years ago.

"Sick to the point where literally, I wasn't sure if I was going to see the next day," he added.

Kirk detailed his medical problems from the past and said that they originated from the "dozens of health code violations" that plagued the house he lived in during college -- including asbestos and mold.

"I didn't define me, all it did was prioritize what's important," he told her. "I know it's the people in my life and the relationships I make that are the most important to me."

Ali listened to Kirk and told him that he inspired her to "be a better person." The two then kissed.

"Kirk's story is unbelievably inspiring. It explains a lot of why he is the way he is and why he's so positive and just appreciates every day and every moment he's given," gushed Ali.

"Kirk has such strength, and I love that about him. He has a lot of the qualities that I'm looking for, and that's exciting."

Ali then presented Kirk with the date's rose, and he accepted.

"Knowing that now I am invested emotionally -- 100% I am onboard with her -- it makes me nervous, it makes me excited, it makes me want to spend forever with her," he said in a confessional.

At the hotel, Frank approached Kasey to talk because he could tell he was upset about having to go on the two-on-one date with Justin. Kasey explained to Frank that he's there to find love and got the tattoo to show Ali that he's a man and ready for a relationship.

"When are you going to show her that tattoo?" asked Frank.

"I don't know man," replied Kasey.

"Now it's do or die. I don't want it to be in that situation. I don't want to have a do or die situation and be like, 'Oh by the way, check out what I did in New York.' It just looks like I'm making one last attempt to stick around. I'm not trying to just stick around, I'm trying to be the man of her dreams."

Frank told Kasey it was his time to shine and send Justin home.

"If I get sent home, that's going to destroy me," said Kasey in a confessional.

The next day, the group date commenced with the six bachelors arriving to ride horseback through the mountains. Ty took the lead due to his experience with horses, while Chris L. struggled to stay on his saddle. He eventually received some help from Ty.

"This date was just right up his ally," said Chris L. about Ty.

As the group rappelled down to a vast cave carved out of lava, Justin had his cast removed from his left foot -- which he broke before filming began. Justin also had a boot put on that allowed him to walk without crutches.

Back on the group date, Ty continued to shine and Ali took notice. However Chris L. was the first one into the cave, followed by Ali -- allowing the two to have some alone time before the rest of the guys made their way down.

"He's made such an effort to just let me know he's there," said Ali about Chris L., who shared his gloves with her. "I like it. I like him wanting to be close to me."

With Chris L. and Ty competing for Ali's time, and Frank felt out of the loop.

"So far on this date, Frank has been non-existent," commented Ali. "That's his choice. If he wants to sort of fall behind, he can because I have other great guys here that want to take the time to get to know me."

The group exited the cave and watched the sunset over the mountain before traveling to Blue Lagoon -- where they stripped down to the skivvies and hopped into the warm water.

In the lagoon Ty continued to shine and landed some alone time with Ali. The two kissed before she spent some time with Chris L..

"I can't tell if it's really romantic yet," she said in a confessional about her relationship with him. "I feel like the more comfortable we get around each other, the better our relationship is going to get."

Ali and Chris L. discussed his previous relationships before they kissed, which he said felt "natural." Frank continued to complain about how he wasn't getting any attention from Ali.

"I know that Ali and I have something special -- group dates don't cut it," he said. "It's driving me insane. I'm an emotional disaster right now."

Back at the hotel, Justin vented to Kirk and Kasey about how he doesn't like that the other guys are questioning his sincerity.

"Justin is so full of lies, it's just ridiculous," said Kasey in a confessional. "Who knows what he's going to do? Maybe he'll tell Ali about my tattoo. He's going to be shady. Justin's here for himself; He's not here for love or for Ali."

Justin and Kasey then officially received word that they'd be going on the two-on-one date, and Justin boasted how it was "just another hurdle."

"There's going to be one rose and the other person's going home," he told Kasey. "I'm telling you, that person's not going to be me."

Frank finally secured some alone time with Ali on the group date, and she told him that she doesn't even know he exists on group dates.

"It's a competition for your time, to be next to you," explained Frank. "Everybody is right there to pounce on when you need a hand."

Ali said her relationship with Frank wasn't about the other bachelors.

"I look forward to seeing you, I think about it before I see you," she added. "I feel like I do sort of reach out for you."

"And you feel like I'm not reciprocating?" asked Frank, and Ali confirmed it before he apologized.

"You're absolutely right and you do make an effort," he said. "You've done that in certain ways that knock me off my feet."

In a confessional, Frank said he finally realized that he needs to be there for her.

"I want to be the guy that proposes to Ali and I want her to say yes to me," he continued. "I just hope she'll forgive me."

As the group date came to a close, Ali presented the rose to Ty.

"Ali giving that rose to Ty shows me what I need to do to get the rose next time," said Frank. "It was kind of a wake-up call. I can't sit back and relax because she could send me home anytime she wants. I've got to fight for her."

The next day, Kasey realized it was a big day for him. He assured Frank he was going to tell Ali about the tattoo "at the right place and the right time."

"Hopefully she'll see that my tattoo basically symbolizes everything that I stand for," he added in a confessional.

"Hopefully she'll know that everything I do and say comes from my heart because I'm literally putting everything onto my sleeve. But Justin's a snake. He'll be sneaky, he'll be vindictive. It hurts my heart that she hasn't gotten to see who he really is. I hope Ali can see that."

Justin said he was hopeful that Kasey showing Ali the tattoo would work in his own favor. The date then commenced, and Ali immediately noticed that Justin was without his crutches.

The three of them hopped on a helicopter for a tour of Iceland, including Eyjafjallajokull Volcano -- which had recently erupted. They then landed on the volcano and enjoyed the surroundings -- however all three were thinking about the eventual rose that would be presented.

Ali, Justin and Kasey arrived at an ice cave, with the rose sitting on an ice table surrounded by candles.

"I feel like this is a really great opportunity for me to get to know Justin better," said Ali. "I don't think the guys like Justin... Maybe I'm must not seeing something. I don't know. I'm just really interested to find out more about him."

The two spent some alone time together.

"I think I did a good job saying everything I did have to say to Ali," said Justin in a confessional. "Let the best man be standing at the end of the night and let the best man have that rose. Sorry to break it to you Kasey, but you're looking at the best man."

Kasey and Ali then spent some alone time sitting outside of the ice cave.

"The only thing Kasey has to do today is be normal," said Ali in a confessional.

The two shared some small talk before she apologized if she had insulted him during their one-on-one date in New York City. He said she didn't and showed he the tattoo, explaining it was a way to "prove" his "sincerity."

"What?!" said Ali after a moment of speechlessness.

Kasey then explained the meaning behind the tattoo -- including the shield's 11 "studs," which represented the 11 guys remaining in the competition for her when he got it.

"I never want to forget this memory. It's changed my life in so many different ways," he told her.

"It's helped build me for who I am. Someday, I will have this final rose to give to my future wife -- as much as I want that final rose from you, I can give one back. I hope that some day my future wife will guard and protect my heart as well."

"I want you to be who you are," responded Ali. "I don't want you to change or be anything else. I think that tattoo's really special, that you're reminding yourself."

She then thanked him for being himself.

"I think that's all I can really ask for," she added before the two toasted.

In a confessional, Kasey said it felt good to open up to Ali.

"I'm expecting that she'll see my heart and she'll see [Justin's] and choose me and choose who I am," he added. "I am the better man. I know that I can make her happy. We're a perfect match... I'm ready to get that rose."

Ali prepared to present the rose and began by stating how she appreciated Justin empathized with her tough decision.

"Kasey, I love that you're being so strong through this whole situation," she added. "The tattoo and everything, it's just exciting that this has been such a powerful journey and experience for you so far."

Ali then took a minute before presenting the rose to Justin and asking him to wait in the helicopter.

"Kasey, I think you're really great and I think today -- everything that's happened -- I realized that is who you are and that's so wonderful. I think you are so ready to meet someone," she told him.

"I think you're going to give them so much, and I don't want to hold you back here. I want you to go find her and I don't want you to change. I feel something just wasn't there."

Kasey wished Ali good luck and gave her a hug before she left him on the glacier.

In a confessional, Ali said she was "100% positive" that she made the right choice in letting Kasey go.

"Not only the right choice for me, but the right choice for him," she added. "I have to keep thinking that every hard decision I make, I'm one step closer to finding my guy."

Justin said he felt Kasey "self destructed" by getting the tattoo.

"He made it easy for me to get a rose," he added in a confessional. "There's actually two roses given -- one to Justin and one to 'Rated R.'"

The next night, the bachelors gathered for the cocktail party prior to the Rose Ceremony and discussed Kasey's ouster -- which Justin said was due to the tattoo. While Ali reiterated she was "confident" in her decision, she said it felt bad.

Frank immediately stole Ali for some alone time, and she said she was aware that none of the guys like Justin but that he's been nothing but nice to her.

"I don't know who I'm going to end up with at the end of all this," she added.

"I do," replied Frank.

He then reiterated he now knows that he has to be more aggressive to win her heart. The two kissed.

"It kind of renewed those feelings we already felt," he said in a confessional. "I want to see us fall in love and I want to be the last guy here."

Craig told the other guys he was nervous about the pending Rose Ceremony before he spent some alone time with Ali. He told her that he felt they didn't have a lot of alone time together.

"I was really thinking that even in the short time that we've had together, I felt like I wanted to do something to show the way that I'm feeling about you," he said. "So I got something."

He then showed her a tattoo that he drew on his wrist.

"I love it," she said laughing. "Thank you for that."

Ali said she was "surprised" that Craig made her laugh and feel good.

"He is great," she added in a confessional. "Coming into this I knew I needed a guy that could really make me laugh, and he's so funny."

She then spent some alone time with Chris N., who said a previous girlfriend complimented on being funny -- however he failed to reveal his humor to Ali. The other guys noticed that Ali was not sitting close to Chris N. and knew what that body language meant.

"In my opinion, it went well," said Chris N., apparently oblivious. "It did feel good, it did feel natural. I'm 100% confident that I'm going to be getting a rose tonight."

Chris L. then had some alone time with Ali and was excited to continue to open up to her. The two discussed if he wants to stay on Cape Cod, and he said the most important thing to him was love.

"I feel like I can go anywhere and do anything, I just need the person to do that with," he added. "I don't care where we live or what we do. I'll collect garbage in San Francisco if you're the right one for me."

Roberto also spent some alone time with Ali and said he was trying not to think about her connection with the other suitors. Ali revealed she would have never approached him in the real world because he's "too hot" for her.

"I'm invested with my heart, and I think she feels the same way about me," he said in a confessional. "So hopefully she gives me a rose and I can continue traveling the world with her."

The Bachelorette's fifth sixth-season Rose Ceremony then commenced.

In addition to Kirk, Ty and Justin, Ali gave roses to Frank, Chris L., Roberto and Craig. Ali also revealed to her seven remaining suitors that their next destination was Turkey.

The Bachelorette's next sixth-season episode will air Monday, June 28 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
