Becca Kufrin was definitely blindsided by Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s decision to break up with her after their The Bachelor engagement, but she admits there were signs her fiance's mind was wandering beforehand.

What was supposed to be a "happy couple visit" for engaged couple Arie and Becca in Los Angeles turned into a nightmare for the bachelorette.

"I thought we were just going to have a nice romantic weekend. The night before he had turned off his phone, which I thought was strange, and it wasn't until the moment when he walked into the house when he didn't have his suitcases with him, I was like, 'What's going on?'" Becca shared with People.

Arie dumped Becca that day, confessing he was still in love with his runner-up, Lauren Burnham, and couldn't stop thinking about her. Arie told Becca the longer he stayed with her, the less his chances became of reconciling with Lauren.

Becca was made aware of Arie's leftover feelings for Lauren, and she credits him with being "open and honest" about that, but she did not know the "extent of his feelings."

Becca revealed to People "red flags were being raised" by the time The Bachelor's season premiered on ABC on January 1.

"At that point, I knew that he had liked some of [Lauren's] Instagram photos, so we had a conversation about it. And that was the first time that he really threw it out that he should have a conversation with her and just apologize for how things had ended with her, that he had felt guilty," Becca recalled to the magazine.

"He had told me, 'I still have feelings for her, I'm trying to work through them.' He said it was hard for him to always talk about it in interviews with the press, to relive that relationship. He said he couldn't close that chapter until everything was said and done and the finale aired."

Although it was hard to stomach Arie still being in love with someone else, Becca remained supportive of the pro racing driver and optimistic about their relationship in the meantime.

"That whole time we were just looking at the end goal of this [finale] week to finally be done with that and move on and be together and work through it as a team," Becca said.

Realizing that Arie was looking at -- and liking -- Lauren's photos on Instagram, Becca admitted she "definitely went through all of the emotions."

"I was upset, I was angry at times, I felt betrayed," noted the Minnesota publicist. "When I started noticing those little things like the Instagram likes, I was trying to come at it from a relationship standpoint to compromise and talk through it."

Becca said she questioned whether Arie was truly ready to be engaged, and if he wasn't, she'd still stand by him and want to work through things.

"But of course I'm going to go through all the emotions. I'm a girl, I'm a human being. There was still jealousy there. You're engaged to me, why are you liking another person's photos or still wanting to contact them?" Becca shared.

Becca wishes Arie had been more upfront with her about where he stood with Lauren, but she has since forgiven him

"From the questions I was asking, I would have appreciated the full truth. I was obviously blindsided like, Did I miss something? I was asking you these things and you didn't tell me. What did I miss? How could I have not seen any of this to the extent of how it played out?" Becca told People.

The second part of The Bachelor's Season 22 finale is set to air Tuesday night as an After the Final Rose special from 8-10PM ET/PT on ABC.

Becca, Lauren and Arie are all expected to conduct live interviews with Chris Harrison, and viewers will find out what happened between Arie and Lauren once he broke up with Becca.
