Bekah Martinez apparently got to talk to The Bachelor star Arie Luyendyk Jr. face-to-face back in the States after he dumped her overseas in Tuscany, Italy.

"I just got the opportunity to talk with him a week later at his hotel here in Los Angeles, and it was filmed and everything but it didn't make the cut," the now 23-year-old California nanny told Entertainment Tonight.

"We were just able to talk for 30 or 45 minutes and just kind of hash out our relationship and what happened."

This conversation likely filmed before Arie's Rose Ceremony in Los Angeles that followed the women's round of hometown dates and resulted in Tia Booth getting sent home.

"I thought it was really good for both of us," Bekah said of the talk she had with Arie.

"I kind of was able to call him out and say, 'I don't think you gave me a fair shot. I felt like you were looking for a way out ever since you found out how old I was because you were afraid of how strong your feelings were for me.' I was able to express that."

Bekah continued, "And he responded saying, 'Yeah I think you're right. I don't think I was fair and I shouldn't have handled it that way.' So I think we were both able to get the closure that we needed from that."

Arie dumped Bekah during a three-on-one date with Kendall Long and Tia Booth in Tuscany because he didn't think they were on the same page in life. He didn't seem to believe Bekah was ready to settle down and get married.

But Arie couldn't really deny the couple's 14-year age difference played a role in his elimination decision.

At one point in The Bachelor season, Arie confessed he had been trying to talk himself out of his feelings for Bekah after learning she was 22 years old, clearly leading with his head instead of his heart.

"It is kind of difficult to watch back the show and to watch all our moments from start to finish and remember really how strong our relationship was... And also compare it to the other relationships with the other girls," Bekah explained to ET.

"I always had doubts in my mind of, 'Oh, maybe he is like this with everyone,' but it's really obvious watching this season that he opened up to me in a way that he didn't with other people, and we had a dynamic that I think was so much more exciting. There's something special that we had between us, so it is kind of hard to watch back."

Although Bekah and Arie's chemistry was off the charts and their connection was undeniable on the small screen, Bekah was apparently still teased by people saying, "Oh, he looks like her dad!"

Bekah called such comments "silly," insisting that at least in Los Angeles, people wouldn't care if she was dating a much older man.

Regardless, Bekah seems convinced that everything played out with Arie just as it should have.

"I think ultimately it's better for both of us," Bekah reflected of their The Bachelor breakup. "I don't think we would necessarily be compatible in the real world together."
