The Bachelor alum Ben Higgins has confessed that he doesn't think Devin Strader is the right match for Jenn Tran, whose The Bachelorette season is currently airing on ABC.

Devin has been called selfish, disrespectful and "a bully," but the polarizing bachelor -- who is unapologetically outspoken and loud -- has insisted on the show he's prioritizing Jenn and giving The Bachelorette star what she deserves.

When discussing The Bachelorette drama with his guest podcast co-host Rachel Recchia, Ben admitted he doesn't think Jenn is going to end up with Devin.

"I don't think he's the right one for Jenn," Ben said during the July 23 episode of "The Ben & Ashley I: Almost Famous Podcast," which is typically co-hosted by Ashley Iaconetti.

"I also don't think he's the easiest dude to get along with because of how vocal he is and because of how much confidence he wants to portray and communicate."

But Ben acknowledged that Devin was "more annoying" to him on Episode 2, when Devin had stolen Jenn for a gelato tasting during a group date and used some aggressive tactics to steal alone time with The Bachelorette star.

"I was like, 'Devin, back down. This is crazy. You're going way too hard, way too fast,'" Ben recalled. "[But] I think Devin took a step forward for me this week."

On The Bachelorette's third episode that aired on July 22, Thomas N. and Sam M. had appeared to join forces against Devin and were trashing him behind his back.

Thomas vented "f-ck Devin," saying he didn't want to be friends with the Pete Davidson look alike, and Sam M. called the controversial bachelor "an ankle-biting dog."

Thomas and Sam M. also mocked and criticized the self-declared love virgin, Sam Nejad, for professing love to Jenn too early in the process.

At the cocktail party preceding the third Rose Ceremony of the season, Devin stood up for Sam N. and assured the sweet and gentle suitor that he had a right to his feelings and was totally justified in expressing them at the time.

"Right now, if I had to pick a side, I'm on Devin's side because Thomas continues to be this character [in conflict]," Ben explained to Rachel.

Ben elaborated of Thomas, "[And] he's not just doing this with Devin.... [Based on The Bachelorette previews] he's continuing to get himself into the drama, and so I have to think that maybe Devin isn't the one at fault here -- or he isn't the problem."

Rachel, although she noted she's "not a fan" of Devin and saw major "red flags" with him, agreed that Thomas seemed to be the real "issue" and "bully" in the situation.

The Bachelorette's Season 19 star therefore lamented, "I think, at this point, I'm over both Thomas and Devin."

But based on The Bachelorette previews that have recently aired, Devin drama is just starting to heat up.

"Devin has twisted Jenn into his little web of lies," Thomas says in one clip, as Devin is shown romancing Jenn and later arguing with the men.

Rachel and Ben predicted that Devin and Thomas will be eliminated around the same time "mid-season," before the Final 4 men's hometown dates.

Rachel said, by that point, Devin and Thomas will probably "secure their place on the beach" for Bachelor in Paradise's upcoming tenth season. (ABC renewed Bachelor in Paradise earlier this month, and Season 10 of the spinoff will air in 2025.)

"I can't wait!" Rachel gushed.

After Rachel ended her The Bachelorette engagement to Tino Franco because he had cheated on her, Rachel appeared on last summer's edition of Bachelor in Paradise.

Rachel briefly dated Sean McLaughlin, Tanner Courtad, Jordan Vandergriff, and Brayden Bowers, but she left Paradise alone and single.

For Ben's part, he competed on Kaitlyn Bristowe's season of The Bachelorette and got eliminated after Fantasy Suite dates. Ben went on to star on The Bachelor's 20th season.

Ben got engaged to Lauren Bushnell on The Bachelor finale, which aired in March 2016, but they later split a little over one year later. He is now happily married to a woman outside of Bachelor Nation, Jessica Clark.
