Ben Higgins becoming the new Bachelor has apparently been a little bit of a shock for him.

"Last night, when I was flying here," Higgins said Tuesday on Good Morning America after appearing live on After Paradise Monday night, "was my first time in a first-class lounge. I had no idea those things existed. I just really want to take the opportunity to do this. I think you can't pass up on it."
The Indiana native and software salesman, who currently resides in Denver, CO, admitted he's overwhelmed about dating 25 or more women at once.
"I don't think there's any training for that. First off, I never thought I'd be in that situation, so you know, you don't think about it until it was announced last night. Now, I'm processing how to do this. I'm nervous to kind of meet the women who are taking the time out of their lives to come and hang out with me for a while," he explained.
Higgins told GMA he did initially hesitate upon being asked to star as Season 20's Bachelor, but after some thought, it sort of became a no-brainer.

"Just to be fair to myself, I wanted to take a few days just to process it through and make sure I thought of all of the different pros and cons. But when you think about it, it's a really good opportunity," Higgins said.
Although he's only 26, Higgins insisted he's ready to settle down with an amazing woman. He idolizes his parents' relationship, as they have been married for 34 years.
"You should come on The Bachelor if you're ready to, first off, share an experience that will change your life... and if you're serious about meeting somebody," he said.
"I'm ready to have a great time with this and I want everybody that comes on to at least walk away saying, 'That was worth me sacrificing time out of my life...' So if you want to have a good time, if you want to hang out with me a little bit and explore what relationships are like then, come on the show."
