Bennett Jordan got eliminated from The Bachelorette but then returned to try to convince Tayshia Adams for a second chance.

Bennett is a 36-year-old wealth management consultant from New York City.

Tayshia seemed to have a soft spot in her heart for "bougie" Bennett from the beginning, but Ed Waisbrot called Bennett "dismissive, condescending and arrogant," and Noah Erb viewed Bennett in the same light.

Tayshia could sense tension between Noah and Bennett, so she asked the two men to join her for a two-on-one date. Because Bennett insisted there was "a zero percent chance" of the "juvenile" Noah ending up with Tayshia, the Bachelorette sent Bennett home instead.

Tayshia felt Bennett was questioning her integrity and decision-making, although Bennett completely denied that had been the case.

After Bennett was sent packing, he later showed up after a group date and expressed his feelings for Tayshia along with his dismay about being eliminated too soon.

"Sometimes we don't realize things until they're gone, and I realized in that moment that I love you," Bennett told Tayshia, whose jaw dropped.

Tayshia believed Bennett was telling the truth, but his request for reconciliation came at a crucial time when Tayshia was trying to determine her Final 4 bachelors for hometown dates.

"I'm so confused! The way I sent him home the other night did not feel right, but at the same time, I'm here with seven other people and I feel like I have good connections with every single one of them," Tayshia told the cameras.

Bennett received his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from Harvard University. He graduated from college in 2007.

Bennett Jordan is a southern boy at heart

Although Bennett currently lives in New York, he is originally from Atlanta and takes pride in his home state.

The bachelor loves visiting the South, where he visits with family, takes the family dog Copper for walks, and mixes up his famous green smoothies in his mother's kitchen.

Bennett has been at the same firm for over four years now

Bennett is the Managing Director for Wealth and Alternative Asset Management at Whitney Partners, LLC. He's held the position for about a year.

Prior to his current role at Whitney Partners, he served as a director.

Bennett went to boarding school before college

Bennett went to Marist School, a private Catholic school in Atlanta, GA, before continuing his education at Phillips Academy Andover from 2002-2003 in Andover, MA.

Phillips Academy is considered one of the best high schools in America.

The Bachelorette host calls Bennett "one of the most unique guys"

Chris Harrison says Bennett reminds him a little bit of Kalon McMahon from Emily Maynard's season of The Bachelorette.

If fans recall, Kalon was a luxury brand consultant from Texas who showed up on Night 1 in a helicopter and was famously booted from Emily's season for suggesting her then six-year-old daughter Ricki was "baggage."

"Think 50 percent Wall Street, 50 percent Greenwich, Connecticut, like Vineyard Vines. He's never met a pair of khakis he didn't like," Chris said.

"The best thing I can say about Bennett is he is a gift-giver. But what's in the box?!"

Bennett's got game!

The 6'4" expensive loafer-wearing bachelor is great at basketball and enjoys other activities such as horseback riding, tailgating, traveling, and dining out. But he hates golf!

Bennett considers himself the "total package" in that he believes he is handsome, successful, mature and ready to be a husband.

According to Bennett, his high school girlfriend was the only woman he had to work for prior to Clare Crawley and Tayshia.

Bennett was engaged before appearing on The Bachelorette

Bennett was engaged to a woman before and was "fully engaged and dialed up for a wedding." But he called off the engagement before exchanging vows.

Bennett says he just didn't think the relationship was the right one for him and he didn't want to get married for the wrong reasons, especially since he grew up witnessing bad examples of marriage, including his own parents' marriage.

Bennett takes a lot of pride in his self-care

Not only does Bennett enjoy morning yoga and drink green smoothies, but he also treats himself to spa days and books salt therapy sessions called halotherapy after working out to reduce stress, enhance lung capacity, and more.

Bennett also likes to unwind with a face mask at the end of the day.

Bennett has explained why he initially signed up for The Bachelorette

Bennett explained his reasoning for going on The Bachelorette's sixteenth season during an October appearance on former The Bachelorette stars Becca Kufrin and Rachel Lindsay's Bachelor Happy Hour podcast.

"Throughout more of my adult dating years, I had nudges from family and friends and even exes on the way out the door that [said], 'You should just go on The Bachelorette. You should check that out. You never know, give it a shot. Why not? I think you'd be great for it,'" Bennett recalled.

"I never took it seriously until I was kind of quarantined alone in New York City, you know, the epicenter of the [coronavirus] pandemic, by myself that entire time. I kind of got to thinking about it, and as you might imagine, my dating life got a little stagnant."

Bennett said the day-to-day office and work life, ordering groceries to his place and cooking by himself "got a little old."

"It got me thinking that now might be the time to do something like this," Bennett said.

"And so I gave it a shot and rapidly progressed through the process and was super excited to have an opportunity like this. It was fantastic."
