Bethenny Frankel is no longer interested in a reality TV career.

However, Frankel doesn't plan to shy away from the cameras completely. She recently spent time in Los Angeles finishing up a six-week test run of her new daytime talk show Bethenny, which is reportedly expected be picked up for next year.
"It's the right thing for me -- and for us," said Frankel about her new hosting position. "I love talking to women about what's going on with them."
In the meantime, the former Bethenny's Getting Married? and The Real Housewives of New York City star reportedly wants to settle down and enjoy time with her family, including her husband Jason Hoppy and two-year-old daughter Bryn, at a beach house for the remainder of the summer.
"I'm in lockdown," laughed Frankel, who first appeared on reality TV when she competed on The Apprentice: Martha Stewart in 2005.
"I'm finally ready to become a housewife."
While Bethenny Ever After showed footage of Frankel and Hoppy struggling in their marriage and recent reports have claimed the couple's been on the verge of calling it quits, Frankel told People they have every reason to remain optimistic about staying together.
"I think we have what it takes to make it work. I don't have a backup plan. It's not like shopping for shoes and getting a new pair. That's not what it's about," she explained.
"We've been scared. The second year of marriage was not easy. We hit bottom, [but] we came out the other side."
