Big Brother's eleventh-season houseguests moved into the house and competed in a challenge which resulted in former tenth-season houseguest Jessie Godderz becoming the final member of the new season's cast during last night's premiere broadcast of the CBS reality series.

They were then followed by the second group, which consisted of Chima Simone, a single 32-year-old freelance journalist from West Hollywood, CA; Braden Bacha, a single 28-year-old surfer from Santa Monica, CA; Natalie Martinez, a single 24-year-old Tae Kwon Do champion from Gilbert, AZ; and Casey Turner, a married 41-year-old father, fifth-grade teacher and DJ from Lakeland, FL.
The last group then consisted of Jordan Lloyd, a single 22-year-old waitress from Matthews, NC; Jeff Schroeder, a single 30-year-old advertising salesman from Norridge, IL; Michele Noonan, a married 27-year-old neuroscientist from Pasadena, CA; and Lydia Tavera, a single 24-year-old special effects make-up artist from Torrance, CA.
After they introduced themselves to each other and began settling into their new temporary home, Julie surprised the 12 houseguests with the news that Big Brother 11 will feature a "high school cliques" twist and divide the contestants into four cliques: "popular," "athletes," "brainiacs" and "off-beats."
"Whether you've been out of school for 20 years or just graduated, one thing remains the same: cliques rule the school. And this summer they're going to rule the game," Julie told the houseguests. "That's right, each of you will be playing the game as part of a familiar high school clique. You may be part of a group, but you are all still competing as individuals -- you'll be nominated as individuals and evicted as individuals."
"However it's never been more important to be part of the in crowd," she added. "That's because if a member of your clique becomes Head of Household then nobody in your group can be nominated for eviction, guaranteeing your safety for that week."
After being given some time to speculate what clique they'd be part of, the houseguests were then directed to the backyard, where they found a high school locker room-inspired challenge set which revealed Natalie, Jeff and Russell would be the members of the "athletes" clique; Lydia, Casey, and Kevin would be the "off-beats;" Jordan, Laura, and Braden would be the "popular" group; and Ronnie, Chima, and Michele would be the "brainiacs."
Julie then revealed that the challenge would determine the season's first Head of Household but, rather than competing to determine which one of them would get to be the first HoH, the 12 houseguests would be competing to determine which clique an unidentified thirteenth houseguest who would automatically become the first HoH would join.
Although the houseguests weren't told of their identities, Julie then told viewers that depending on which clique won the challenge -- which was dubbed "The Wedgie" and required the houseguests to hang uncomfortably in their "underwear" for as long they could endure -- one of four former Big Brother contestants would become the thirteenth member of Big Brother 11's cast: Big Brother 5 houseguest Michael "Cowboy" Ellis, Big Brother 8 houseguest Jessica Hughbanks, and Big Brother 10 houseguests Brian Hart and Jessie.
Michael would get to join the cast if a member of the "off-beats" clique was the last houseguest left in the endurance challenge, while Jessica would be part of the "popular" clique, Jessie would be part of the "athletes," and Brian would be part of the "brainiacs" if their cliques won.
The "brainiacs" and "off-beats" were the first two cliques to have all their members eliminated the challenge, leaving only the "athletes" and "popular" cliques -- which still had two members each -- in the running for the thirteenth member.
However Laura and Braden failed to outlast Natalie and Russell, resulting in the "athletes" winning the right to have Jessie -- whose identity was still unbeknownst to the houseguests --join the game as the fourth member of their clique and the season's first HoH.

The premiere then ended with viewers seeing Jessie enter through the Big Brother house's front door and hearing the screaming reactions of the other houseguests.
Big Brother 11's next episode will air Sunday, July 13 at 8PM ET/PT on CBS.
