The Picton Castle is apparently changing course.

CBS has announced that Pirate Master, the new Mark Burnett reality series that filmed on the Picton Castle, a 179-foot, square-rigged barque, will move from its current Thursdays at 8PM ET/PT time period to Tuesdays at 10PM ET/PT beginning July 10.

Pirate Master will be moving to make room for the eighth season of Big Brother, which will premiere Thursday, July 5 at 8PM ET/PT and air regularly in the hour throughout the rest of the summer.

After its premiere, Big Brother -- which as it has for the last six years, will air three nights a week on CBS this summer -- will also air weekly on Sundays at 8PM ET/PT and Tuesdays at 9PM ET/PT.

However rather than air the week's Pirate Master episode on July 3 in what will become the show's new Tuesdays at 10PM ET/PT time period or preempt the show for a week, CBS -- in a move the network no doubt hopes will convince Big Brother viewers to continue to follow the Burnett show when it moves to its new post-Big Brother Tuesday night time period beginning July 10 --  will air Pirate Master's sixth episode on Thursday, July 5 at 9PM ET/PT immediately after Big Brother 8's premiere.
