Big Brother's twelfth-season houseguests evicted Britney Haynes during Wednesday night's broadcast of the CBS reality competition.

Britney, a 22-year-old hotel sales manager from Huntington, AR, was evicted from the Big Brother house via a 1-0 vote after she was placed on the chopping block by Hayden Moss, the season's tenth Head of Household.
With only four houseguests remaining in the competition, Hayden, a 24-year-old college student from Tempe, AZ, had been forced to nominate Britney for eviction alongside Lane Elenburg, who had been in a season-long secret "Brigade" alliance with Hayden and Enzo Palumbo.
Hayden then won the subsequent Power of Veto competition and opted to keep his nominations the same -- much to the frustration of Lane, who had established a two-person "side alliance" with Britney and secretly been hoping she would win the PoV competition, remove herself from the chopping block and use her newfound sole eviction vote to vote Enzo out of the game instead.
"Now that Hayden's won, I kind of have to put it back in reverse and go back to the Brigade. You know, I have to shun Britney away and I have to go, 'Yeah, final three, this is what I wanted all the time!'" explained Lane, a 24-year-old oil rig salesman from Decatur, TX.

"I have to make them believe I didn't want Britney in the final three."
Lane's frustration then increased further when Hayden and Enzo, a 32-year-old insurance adjuster from Bayonne, NJ, decided that Britney "had the right" to know about the Brigade's existence before she was evicted.
"It's not in my best interests to tell Britney about the Brigade, because I've been friends with Britney since Day 1 [and] she's going to be really pissed off. But I can't express that to the Brigade because then they'll be thinking, 'Why are you trying to protect her so much?' and then they'll be trying to get rid of me," he said.
While Britney initially broke down in tears and complained she had "just wasted three months" when Enzo and a reluctant Lane revealed the alliance's existence and Hayden confirmed he wouldn't be using his veto on her, she eventually came to grips with the news and even dubbed herself an "alternate" to the Brigade in her final pre-eviction plea.
"Obviously I'm upset, I came here to win, I wanted to play the game as long as I could. But, the truth is I really do love them, they are my friends, they've been my family this whole summer," Britney told Big Brother host Julie Chen after she was evicted from the competition via Enzo's sole vote.

"Honestly, it was the worst day that I had in the house [all summer]," she said of the day she learned of the Brigade's existence. "It was awful, just to be kind of hit with all of it at once and just realize in one moment that everything you had worked for all summer is over like that... I was like, 'I'm not voting for any of them!' I was so mad, very upset."
"I do [forgive Lane]. I really think Lane's intentions were good. I think that if he could have done it the way he wanted to, we would be in the Final 2 together. I don't think he wanted me to be evicted this week, I think he wanted me to win the HoH or PoV."
Britney also told Julie that she had dismissed recently evicted houseguest Ragan Fox's prior suspicions that the men were in a secret alliance because the alliance would have been serving her own needs.
"I really thought of course the guys are close -- I mean it's three guys, they get along really well. I knew they were at least, if nothing else, really great friends,' she said. "But I felt close to them too, so I guess it wasn't that I didn't ever think that there was even a possibility they would work together, but I thought I was working with them as well, so I didn't really care."
Following Britney's eviction, Hayden, Enzo and Lane began the first challenge in Big Brother 12's three-part final HoH competition.

Similar to prior Big Brother final HoH competitions, the winner of the first round will automatically advance to the third round, leaving the remaining two houseguests to compete against each other in a second round competition that will determine which two houseguests get to compete in the third round that will determine the season's final HoH.
Once crowned, the final Head of Household will get to determine which other Final 3 houseguest will join them in the Final 2.
Dubbed "Rumble in the Big Brother Jungle," the challenge required the houseguests to sit on individual rope swings as they were slammed back and forth into a pair of "cliffs" and showered by a "waterfall".
While the results of the challenge are already known to the show's 24/7 live Internet feed viewers, CBS will reveal the winner during Thursday night's Big Brother broadcast which will also feature the second part of the three-part final HoH competition.
