Jessie Godderz became the fifth houseguest evicted from Big Brother's eleventh season during Thursday night's broadcast of the CBS reality show.

Jessie, a 23-year-old bodybuilder from Huntington Beach, CA, was evicted from the Big Brother house in a 3-2 vote which occurred after Jeff Schroeder announced -- as several of his fellow houseguests had correctly suspected -- that he was in possession of the "mystery power" the show had previously let home viewers secretly award to one houseguest.

Jeff's announcement had happened right before the houseguests were set to vote to evict Russell Kairouz or Lydia Tavera.  Russell, a 24-year-old mixed martial arts fighter from Walnut Creek, CA, and Lydia, a 24-year-old special effects make-up artist from Torrance, CA, had been nominated for eviction by Chima Simone, a 32-year-old freelance journalist from West Hollywood, CA who had been serving as the season's fifth Head of Household. 

Kevin Campbell, a 29-year-old graphic designer from Chula Vista, CA, had subsequently won the week's Power of Veto competition but had declined to save either Lydia, his closest house ally, or Russell from the chopping block. 

"The reason why I left Lydia on the block is because I don't want to create any more enemies, and on top of that it will ensure that the votes are there for Russell to go home," Kevin had explained afterward, much to Lydia's frustration.

Once Jeff revealed his plans to use the power, Big Brother host Julie Chen then formally informed the houseguests -- who all appeared to have already guessed what the "mystery power" was -- that the power was the "Coup D'etat" power which had previously been granted but not actually used during the show's Big Brother 7: All-Stars edition in 2006

"It's called the Coup D'etat," Julie announced as the houseguests gasped.  "Jeff has the ability to overthrow the Head of Household Chima and change one or both of her nominees.  However Chima, as Head of Household, and Kevin, as winner of the Power of Veto, neither one of you can be put on the block."

Jeff then announced he was replacing both of Chima's nominees and nominating Jessie and Natalie Martinez, a 24-year-old Tae Kwon Do champion from Gilbert, AZ who had been Jessie's closest ally in the house, for eviction.

"Well as I've learned from both of you, this is just a game.  That's all I've really got to say," Jeff told Jessie and Natalie after he nominated them.  "I know you're upset but you guys have run this house, haven't had to feel the block, and I got a power and now I got the power and you guys need to feel the pain a little bit.  Enjoy."

Jessie and Natalie had anticipated they would probably be nominated if Jeff was the houseguest granted the power and appeared to take the announcement of their nominations well.

"This was worst case scenario and the best move you've done so far, congratulations man.  I saw it coming," Jessie told Jeff.

With Jessie, Natalie, Jeff, and Chima all ineligible to vote, the five remaining houseguests then cast their eviction votes.  Natalie received votes from Russell and Lydia while Jessie received votes from Kevin, Jordan Lloyd and Michele Noonan.

During his post-eviction interview with Julie, Jessie -- who was evicted from last summer's Big Brother edition via a 4-3 vote in which the deciding vote was cast by Dan Ghessling, whose vote had been determined by home viewers due to a one-week "America's Player" twist -- once again blamed viewers for his downfall.

"Well if I was America, and I didn't like Jessie last season -- let's just throw a dart at a board and figure it out," Jessie told Julie.

As the fifth houseguest evicted, Jessie will now become the first member of the seven-person Big Brother jury which will decide which of the season's final two houseguests will win the competition's $500,000 grand prize.

After Jessie's interview, all eight remaining houseguests competed in the season's sixth HoH competition.

Dubbed "Hit the Road," the competition required the houseguests to face off two at a time and correctly answer whether a question's subject matter had occurred during one of the season's HoH, Have Not, or Veto competitions.  The first person to correctly answer the question would get to remain in the competition and choose the next two houseguests that would face off in it while the losing houseguest would be eliminated.

Lydia was the first houseguest eliminated.  She was followed by Russell, Natalie, Jordan, Chima, and Jeff, leaving Michele and Kevin to face off in the final question.  Michele then answered the question correctly, resulting in her becoming Big Brother 11's sixth HoH.
